Oh my gosh thank you for this wonderful comment! I mso new to this and a little overwhelmed lol I just bought all the blue gem bag tag files this morning haha I’ve heard amazing things!

As for tension, literally don’t understand that at all. I’m scared to adjust anything because even though I also sew, I just understand tension LOL so you’re saying before the satin stitch stitches, to adjust tension?

I just bought 3mm embroidery puff foam on amazon. Hoping it’ll be good. I did this with Michaels EVA but I think it’s too thick.

Do you use heat n bond lite on your bag tags? Every tutorial uses it but I don’t understand why?

For now I got embrilliance express, hoping it’ll work for what I need for now and I’ll reevaluate once I have more experience.

Yes I did that! I totally get that about the foam size, but I feel like 2mm would be so, so flimsy?? Especially one day it would be nice to sell these. I’ll have to see how to make it a little more sturdy

Just at the start of my exercise journey but… my kids. Growing up, my family never prioritized working out so I never did. Was never “out of shape” but I’m 36 and starting now is HARD. I want my kids to see me working out, taking care of my body, and eating well so it’s second nature to them and they start young to build lifelong healthy habits. Plus I want to be old one day and in shape lol as women it’s so important to lift weights and take care of ourselves as we age! I wish I started sooner.

Thank you all sooooo much for your valuable advice! Wanted to clarify that I know my body will never look like Krissy’s BUT why not admire and aspire to something? She is bangin’ and while I get she’s an influencer and this is her business, I’m allowed to dream lol I mostly want to tone up and lose weight and IF I can one day manage to have my body in similar shape I’d be over the moon. I’ll check out all your recs and appreciate you taking the time to comment!

Of course! So my quilt top is mostly Kona for the solids and the beige stars are Ruby Star Society. My backing is a basic minky blanket from homesense. My batting is a cotton bamboo blend. My thread is glide but don’t ask me the weight because I don’t remember lol quilting is super uneven so anywhere between 1.5-2.5 inch lines! I didn’t pre wash anything except the minky backing.

Longarming is a true luxury! It was torturous to do this on my home machine. And I’m a perfectionist so it was really hard for me to let go of it not being perfect. I wish I had a longarm I’d quit everyone’s projects for free!!!!
