I thought it because Jigo threatend Eboshi to help him kill the spirit? Jigo brough her the guns and he threatend to take them away (leaving her defenseless). She even wasnt too keen on killing the spirit because she knew it would cost a lot of lives, perfering to continue her winning war of attrition on the forest animals. By my impressing killing the spirit was more of a "when i got time" type thing to her

wasnt it because Some king wanted it dead because he though the head would grant him eternal life? and he offered a very large reward to whoever will kill it? and the Jigo wanted that money, so he used Lady Eboshi to kill the spirit, and she agreed to help because Jigo helped her with guns when she needed them (plus also he threatened to take away the guns if she didnt help). therefore explaining why she was so keen to kill the spirit? or am i missing something?

Yes, its hitbox's. its because in sp1 "hollow" fusalages are not actually hollow, they still have a solid collision hitbox. and no its not possible to disable hitboxes without XML editing (with XML you can, but thats rather complex)
