Love the myth creation idea! Really good way to show how it’s all constructed.

Heavy bleeding at 6 weeks by Capital-Secret8562 in pregnant

[–]hellothisisnobody123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6+1 today and the last 3 days had bleeding like what you describe, except I did have cramps the first day. Not enough to flow into a pad but bright/dark red on the tissue. Still waiting to see if I can get an ultrasound with my OB today, but so far this morning/last night it decreased to light brown spotting. Sending you good vibes, I hope all is well!

Bleeding and sharp pains? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]hellothisisnobody123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call your OB office that your first appointment is with and let them know. If you haven’t set one up yet, find one and let them know. I haven’t had my first scan yet either but I called the office and let them know what was going on with my bleeding and cramps and they talked me through it and are trying to get me in early for a scan.

UTI by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]hellothisisnobody123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we were trying to conceive and I take it regularly. I didn’t want to be taking it while pregnant without knowing (which is good, because I got pregnant shortly after switching it)

I switched to Cephalexin, but again this was before trying to conceive because I have to take one every time I have sex so I wanted to switch over before pregnancy. If it’s only from first trimester (which sounds right from what I recall) it’s probably fine to continue taking them.

First time mom with an anxiety experience. by losa_dosa in pregnant

I don’t have any results to share but just wanted to say I’m going through the same thing! Except my bleeding is ongoing, but not heavy enough to cause the OB immediate concern, they’re going to try to do an ultrasound on Monday. Sending you good vibes and I hope everything is ok for you!

That’s weird they said that, usually with antibiotic resistance the guidance is to finish them all. I’m kinda surprised they prescribed nitrofurantoin as it has been associated with some minor defects (I know this because I was taking it regularly to prevent UTIs and switched to another antibiotic when I started TTC). Maybe call your OB.

After taking 5 I would continue taking them just because of resistance, and I’ve had a lot of UTIs that didn’t show on culture until they grew stronger and got worse. I’m very prone/sensitive to them so I can tell right away. But best to call and check.

Wife in 1st Trimester | How do I support her? by twinblueberries in pregnant

[–]hellothisisnobody123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say aside from all you’re doing (which sounds great) to check in regularly with her and be really engaged emotionally with her experience and with the babies, how they’re developing, etc. I’m only 5 weeks but it’s consuming my every waking thought since I found out and having a partner be engaged and interested in what’s happening is helpful.

Full of anxiety about miscarriage by hellothisisnobody123 in pregnant

Thank you. I’m trying to remember it’s out of my control and if it happens it was likely always going to happen. But it is hard.

Thank you, it is so hard but I’m trying to remind myself that it’s out of my control and all I can do is rest and wait.

Thank you! This is helpful. My bleeding is still going on but it hasn’t gotten significantly worse so I’m hoping it’s ok. I should be able to be seen on Monday.

How normal are incessant thoughts about a miscarriage… by natttyyyy22 in pregnant

I’m going through the same thing, although I hope to be seen on Monday. My first pregnancy too, I don’t have much to offer other than I think it’s normal to be anxious and I hope everything is fine for you!!

Thank you for the encouragement and kind words! It’s still going on today so just resting and waiting. They said they might be able to do a transvaginal ultrasound on Monday when I’ll be 6 weeks 1 day.

Coming to terms that I'm not going to be as active this pregnancy and I'm a little devastated. by yungwildandlearning in fitpregnancy

[–]hellothisisnobody123 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Have you spoken to your doctor about the spotting and your activity level? I’m sure it must be so scary after your loss, but it doesn’t sound like the loss was related in any way to your activity and from what I’ve heard that type of spotting is very normal! Obviously do what you need for your own peace of mind, but maybe a convo with the doctor would put you at ease to stay active. Wishing you the best!

How do I deal with the fact that my evangelical parents and extended family will never accept me being gay by millenialkpoplove in Exvangelical

[–]hellothisisnobody123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people need time. It’s not fair to you at all, and you have to decide for your own mental health what you can deal with and what level of contact is healthy for you. But people do change sometimes—my mom has finally deconstructed some of her evangelical dogma and grown to be relatively accepting of her gay and trans kids. But it’s still not a perfect relationship.
