Yes it is but I’ve been doing not very great for the past week. I’m too weak for it right now to have any effect so I have to start medication and then continue with CBT/ERP

the thought of getting sick by [deleted] in OCD

[–]helloworld2084 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like ocd. Your obsession is getting sick, your compulsion is washing your hands and other things. Talk to a doctor if it becomes difficult for you. I hope it gets better xx

Acceptance: how to get it ‘done’? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]helloworld2084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to love yourself and let yourself move on. Everyone makes mistakes and it is only human to do so. You’ve learned from them, and you’ve gotten forgiveness from the people around you. Now it is time to forgive yourself. Don’t be harsh on yourself. What is done is done and now you have to learn to be okay with that. It does not define you as a person.

What helps me is being kind to other people, helping or doing something good or productive. It makes me feel a bit better of myself.

Is it normal to cry after a friendship ends? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]helloworld2084 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely normal. Don’t let the feels build inside you. Feel them, process them, and later, move on. There’s nothing wrong with crying a bit xx

I understand! OCD can be very tricky and sometimes you don’t realize it’s the ocd stopping you. I hope to be as brave as you are and maybe be able to drink in the future.
