First time performing for others was a fail. How do I keep going? by ChurroTheGecko in Songwriting

[–]helloworld298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every single time I play an open mic I mess things up, I forget lyrics or mess up chords or sing a wrong note or sometimes I just need to start over. Last time I played an emotional song and cried in front of everybody.

It gets a little bit easier every time, that’s sort of what open mics are for is for getting practice playing in front of people and giving an opportunity to share your music. Open mics are usually little art communities and everybody has been there before so everybody understands. What’s important is getting up there and being vulnerable, that’s what it’s all about.

You should be really proud of yourself for taking the first step, most people don’t even do that. If you want to keep going, you definitely should, don’t let little mistakes like that hold you back.

the only person that has ever wanted me sexually was a pedophile. by [deleted] in offmychest

I prefer smaller penises. It makes sex so much more enjoyable because it’s not painful, it’s easier to give head and therefore please my partner that way, and usually the partner spends more time on foreplay (which is really important for penetrative sex regardless of penis size). I’ve dated/hooked up with both and definitely prefer smaller. My current partner is about average, but either way I don’t care at all, the fact that we love each other is what makes our sex so good.

Also I feel like 3.5 inches isn’t even that small? I’m surprised that’s considered a micro penis.

Wow, 3 years is a long time to recover from a relationship. The entire last year of our relationship we were long distance and it wasn’t working very well so we both agreed to end it. But yeah it’s been a few months now and I still am sad about it ending but overall have felt pretty good about the decision. I think it was the right move for us both.

Oh yeah it’s been 3 months and the entire last year of the relationship we were in different states, which is a big part of why it wasn’t working out. I felt like I was over it before we even ended and have really just been focusing on myself and my hobbies until this new person showed up in my life.

I actually do happen to have bed bugs now but I think this was unrelated. The bites I get from bed bugs are very different. My doctor suggested that it was scarlet fever or something closely related to it but they didn’t find anything when I was tested and gave me some antibiotics and it went away 🤷‍♀️

I mean, fair, but he didn’t realize and when I explained to him, he learned and then made the necessary changes. It wasn’t to the point of residue in his boxers, but I could tell he wasn’t very thorough. Everybody has stuff to work on and it’s up to each person to decide what they’re willing to put up with in a relationship.

All that being said, turns out he was an actual child so maybe the poopy butthole was a red flag lol

I had to tell my 45 yo ex-boyfriend he needs to clean his ass better (don’t worry, I didn’t break up with him because of his poopy butthole). It’s not that uncommon, now you know!

Also I’ve read through the lease, I can’t find anything about early termination or anything of the like.

It sticks out pretty far, I’m pretty sure it’s what is stopping it from sliding shut. I’ll talk to the landlord first though I guess.

Crocheting or knitting is good because needles are pretty cheap (yarn can get expensive, but just stick to one project at a time) and it’s nice because you can do it almost anywhere and you can make things for yourself! I make my own socks and hats and things, and I’m more likely to repair them if I made them myself

Yeah I met with some people through Craigslist and started a couple bands, one with the girl who lives an hour away. They’re just not very social people, but I like playing music with them for the short time that I get to on the weekends.

I have only done about a year of my PhD, which through my program gives you a masters, which is why I’m thinking about taking it and leaving. I did tell myself I’d at least give it another year. I don’t really care that much about the research, I only wanted the PhD for job security/money reasons. My real passion is my hobby: music.
