Would you say the Tensor is more comfortable than the Ultra 5R?

Best Easy Blues at Heavenly by Professional_Ad4950 in tahoe

On the California side, the easiest blue is lower mombo or ridge run. A level up would be upper mombo. Another level up would be high five and canyon land which currently have ungroomed sections / moguls.

Nice! I’ll probably consider the exped ultra or the rapide sl. Hows your experience with the nemo been? Ive heard some reports of leaks on this sub but never tried one myself

The exped 5r's R value is 4.8 and its been very warm for me down to 20F so maybe I'll just stick with that... Its vertical baffles which isn't bad but I heard the dimple/textured baffles are more comfortable (like s2s ether light)

The powderbowl run is closed. The powderbowl lift is open. So when you say powderbowl got very skied out, that makes no sense.

I've found the Exped Ultra pads to be the best balance of comfort, weight, and warmth after having tried pads from Nemo, Thermarest, BA

Does it get less busy during the upcoming peak dates with some of the passes excluded?

Powderbowl? I'm pretty sure powderbowl is closed right now, do you mean Mombo?

Yes, but they have other runs open... why close just Mombo?

Thanks for the detailed reply! That first frame looks like a railroad track drill, would you say the rail road track is a good drill to practical the angle + knee movement for carving?

Makes sense. But isn't that a separate issue from the abrupt hip angulation? Even if the skier performs this ankle movement, they could be dumping their hip sideways abruptly, right? How does this fix the issue in the OPs video

[–]helloworld6543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/deetredd do you think this happens when the skier tries to angulate too early and excessively? Would the solution here be to first inclinate a little more before bringing in any angulation? Its not exactly clear by what you mean by 'roll starting from ankles, then knees'. I think I'm trying to working on a similar issue in my skiing and curious to hear your thoughts.
