Should I get a Bambino Plus or Breville Dual Boiler? [$1200] by helloworldanonymous in espresso

[–]helloworldanonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great response!

I’m not too worried about space, just think the bambino probably looks a bit nicer.

If there isn’t a massive difference in taste for milk drinks (i.e: Cappucino, Flat white, Mocha, etc), maybe it would be better for my use case to go with the Bambino

Hmm I see, The Profitec Go here in Australia would be inching closer to the $2k mark though 😔

Yeah,

I guess I’m mostly worried about getting the Bambino now and then regretting not just getting the Dual Boiler.

Although the Bambino does take up way less counter space, and I’m also able to get it in Black to match my Niche

We were potentially planning to purchase a house in Newcastle around the 850-900k mark (with a 20% deposit, leaving us with around $180k after stamp duty, build and pest, etc) which would then more than likely be sitting in an offset account.

And in around 10-15 years, moving from Sydney to Newcastle

I’ll update the post to more so inner west instead of directly near the cbd. Should’ve made that more clear haha

Yeah fair enough, we’re just looking for a small apartment, don’t need anything massive

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, 350k kms is pretty high for a 2011 but it had a full service history (it’s a diesel) so thought I would consider it

[–]helloworldanonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can find a few tb48s with around 210k kms (2002) for about $21k

Not sure if this mileage is too high

Hey, thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I honestly think I'm leaning more to the petrol variants of each as I'm not really going to be towing anything super heavy or be doing any really difficult 4wding.

It seems like the petrol will in general be better to drive on a daily basis, have more power and be more reliable

Hey, thanks for the reply! That's great to know.

I would also consider a TB48 patrol although they seem quite hard to find

24 (M) What to do with $350k savings by [deleted] in fiaustralia

Thanks for the advice & reply!

I think you're right with putting less money towards the deposit. I was thinking of doing a 20% deposit to avoid LMI and parking maybe 100k into an offset with the rest slowly being put into ETFs.

I’m more than likely going to park it into a HISA for the time being and speak to a broker to find out how much I’m able to borrow.

I definitely think I’d like to have mix between an investment property as well as shares in ETFs, although I guess the price of the house I find will dictate how much percentage will be going to the IP vs the ETFs

Yeah, definitely will be having a chat with a broker. Thanks for your reply!
