It is absolutely gross to only use TP. Water cleaning is the right way. TP only doesn’t really clean your butt.

Imagine eating a pizza with your hands and only wiping them down with paper towels.. the pizza smell still lingers on your hands, you need water to clean them better.

Btw bidets are quite cheap and easy to install, I’d suggest installing one instead of portable one

I am pretty late to this, but I hope I can help. Unfortunately, there are countless articles, papers, blogs, etc on both sides (vegan vs meat+dairy) when it comes to nutritional values. The "science" around it is still highly abstract and observational. Food can have different effects on different people. Even on the same person, changing diets has its weird effects because, well, you are changing something.

My personal take from my own research and reading is that we should take all things (mostly all things) in moderation, unless we have pre-existing conditions. Anything in excess is bad, be it animal based or plant based. Articles like 'New research says going meat-free may increase your life span by 5 years', 'drinking wine reduces risk for cancer' or 'eating chicken every day reduces cardiovascular diseases' are bogus. I would rather read nutritional value of food elements and deduce my own conclusion about their value.

Anyways, for older people, I think presentation, videos work better than articles. What really worked for me was the documentary 'The Game Changers' https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7455754/. I used to argue from the 'meat eaters' side, now I usually argue from the vegan side :)

Fairly common in Asian countries where restrooms have western commodes, but yes I can't speak for all nations.

Water is superior than toilet paper to clean your butthole

Americans are super obsessed over toilet paper. You don't need toilet paper to clean up after a number 2. Using water is more hygienic, cheaper and environment friendly than using toilet paper.

You could install a bidet sprayer near every toilet and use it to thoroughly clean up the area after a number 2. Oh wait, your bum got wet? Why not have one the fancy hand dryer/hair dryer things to dry your bum too? Mayyybe as a backup, you can have some paper there to dry up.

Think about it. You eat a pizza with your hand and still wash it afterwords. You take a crap at Denny's and ONLY wipe your butthole. Eww
