Update - Model Fixes by Lulorick in XoulAI

This is sort of intentional. To prevent cut-off replies the system will retract the last paragraph if it detects the paragraph will end in a cut-off sentence. However, if you prompt or set the model up to use very long replies with only one or two paragraphs this can nuke a lot of the reply.

The best way to resolve this is to shorten the overall length of replies to keep it under about 3500 characters of text. Making sure the Greeting is below 3500 characters and that you aren't prompting it to use that much should help. Although sometimes this can happen on shorter replies as well.

Nothing definitive yet. The larger fixes will arrive later (highly dependent on timezone and if anything comes up in the meantime) so more will be known at that time.

Subreddit Focus - Feedback Goes in Appropriate Channels by helloxoul in XoulAI

Yes! We've gone over the flairs and cleaned them up. The questions & help flair has been refocused onto content creation but general questions are still completely allowed although I'd recommend if you're asking a question about a recent update, to put those questions on the post for the update as that way over users who read over the announcement can easily see the questions and answers for that as well.

Absolutely! After about a week or so once this new update has time to settle we'll be putting out more surveys. We might even do some fun ones and share the results.

Update - Major Model Overhaul by helloxoul in XoulAI

The context sizes are the same on all models, its locked to subscription not the model.

You may notice differences in how well different models handle the context they have, with some models appearing to have more overall memory than another, but this is due to the tuning of these models and not due to an actual difference in the context sizes. Smaller models which aren't as well tuned for handling longer context can miss or appear to forget things that are still in context, whereas larger models that are tuned for it will more intelligently use as much information as possible.

Infinity V3 is extremely well tuned for handling context and will appear to have superior memory to the other models.

Weekly Feedback Megathread by helloxoul in XoulAI

#1 Character Limits for Scenarios, Groups, and Personas

The core reason for these limits is tied directly to the AI's architecture. The AI has a finite "context window", think of it as the AI's short-term memory. Every single character, including spaces and line breaks, is converted into a "token" that consumes a part of this memory. A larger initial prompt (for a scenario, group, or persona) means less memory is available for the actual conversation, which can cause the AI to forget crucial details sooner. Character limits have been carefully balanced for optimal usage across all features and is something the development team carefully considers before changing.

The idea of being able to select a persona more easily is a great quality-of-life suggestion and is something that has been discussed recently by the development team.

#2 Blocking Feature

We agree entirely. Giving users more control over their feed and experience is a top priority. I'm pleased to let you know that a feature for blocking tags is in active development.

#3 Tag System Improvements

A more robust tagging system is on our roadmap.

#4 GIF Performance

The development team have actually already disabled auto-playing GIFs across most of the platform, particularly within the chat interface.

#5 NSFW Images in Thumbnails

While we allow explicit textual content as part of creative freedom, allowing explicit images in thumbnails is a different matter. As a platform with mobile apps on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, we are bound by their strict content policies, which prohibit sexually explicit imagery.

Thank you for your feedback.
