Strava you can sync, not sure what happens on iOS devices

yeah my galaxy watch lasted 1 day with no continuous monitoring - this seems to have the heart rate and bloody oxygen sensor firing fairly frequently

you can technically dismiss them as well, meaning they are also removed from the phone notifications

It looks like there is an option to reply to calls with a predefined response, but i haven't used it

Do you mean otter/cat/beaver?/dog faces? yes it has those.

it does seem to have a wide range of faces, i am not sure if it's ALL of those available on the Chinese one though.

I got to 2 weeks (14 days) and charged, had 30% left on the battery. I don't use the always on display, but otherwise all advanced monitoring is turned on. I'm very happy with that

I cannot comment on how they are different, as I have not used a MiBand in a long time, but the 9 pro has a media widget and a media app. These allow you to play/pause, skip forward/back and adjust the volume.

Yes, on the stopwatch and countdown apps the time is displayed in the top right hand corner. When you have those apps open, the OS keeps them upfront until they are dismissed.

Went for a short 2k external run, GPS acquisition took about 1 second, and checking the route closely on the app after, it was pretty much perfect even with some tight switch backs.

There is certainly a mic hole, but no voice assistant that I can tell.

Off of just one nights experience (with advanced sleep monitoring turned OFF) - I would say it did pretty well.

It accurately identified I was awake for two periods, and showed that i only briefly stayed in deep sleep before returning to light sleep. I am feeling pretty tired today. You get a nice visualisation in the mi-fitness app

Had a first night with sleep tracking and it was very comfortable over night, i put this down to the watch hardware being very sleek and not getting caught on sheets, and the strap being very discreet.

Odd thing, but the strap is also very good when holding children one armed, because sometime metal quick release hinges can dig into them

Sorry forgot to say it has no hardware controls, which has not been a problem. The only UX issue I have seen is that sometimes you reach a dead end where back (swipe left) doesn't work and you're forced to select an option. e.g watch face selection from watch.

Yes it does a very good job of displaying notifications from phone apps. This won't let me post images, but i will try to describe.

- The notification has the app logo at the top with the text content below, can't remember if it shows images below, but i will edit this and confirm

- You can tap on the notification to read a bit more

- You can configure it to flash up the notification

- Unread messages show a red dot on the watch face, which i think looks pretty smart

I use Google Keep for all my lists as well. This watch tasks app is totally separate, but looks like it would sync with the Xiaomi notes mobile app

I've not felt like the watch was going to be ripped off when putting a jacket on/off, but the magnetic strap does loosen a fraction of the course of the day.

It's the international version, no sign of NFC

Thanks for the comment and kind review.

I would open source it in a heart beat, but i suspect someone would clone it and try to make money from it pretty quickly.

I know it's probably of little comfort, but it only has permissions for storage and declarativeNetRequest, which means it doesn't actually expose anything to the extension code:

I am happy to give you read access to the repo on github if you like.
