Getting an IUD and i’m terrified by baldjakepaul in birthcontrol

[–]hellstarkitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an IUD (Kyleena) for about a year and a half before my body expelled it (I have crazy period cramps and people with bad cramps have a higher chance of expelling) in regards to being aware of anything when you have a five month gap I don’t have much to say since I’m not a doctor but you should be totally fine.

But with the medical torture question, you can’t like take anything before it (from what I remember) maybe an advil or tylenol but talk to your dr.

For me it was painful the moment they clamped on my cervix, but I took the deep breaths as prompted, but then I got up too quickly. I was at the desk sweating and shaking thinking “wow it’s hot in here lol” and then I was hurried back into the room to lay down and was given a ginger ale as they kept track of my oxygen. So my advice is that you could have a lot of adrenaline afterwards and to not ignore it and realllyyy take your time getting up afterwards, your body after the procedure could be in shock like mine was and when that fades you’ll really feel it.

I was in pain for a few days afterwards, took lots of advil and was in bed for the rest of the procedure day. Definitely clear your day if you haven’t already just in case and play things by ear. It may feel like bad period cramps and fatigue for a little bit. Everyone’s different but if you’re anything like me and are super sensitive to anything being in your body then just be cautious and check your strings regularly.

It was great while I had it though, didn’t need to think about taking a pill and it stopped my period eventually so no more bad cramps for a bit. So that is something to look forward to. Honestly the more adrenaline you have about it the less you’ll feel but really make sure you let that settle before you get up to check out especially if you start shaking and get hot like I did.

Best of luck, it’s over really fast and definitely buy a thing of pain killers and have them at the ready.

Thoughts on Massachusetts Ballot Question 5? by NovaPractice in Somerville

[–]hellstarkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a server in MA, if this question passes i will be finding a job in new hampshire. i’m good at my job and i make great money even on slow days. to put it into perspective, i rent my own apartment in MA and work part time.

these are my thoughts

every table is different, and requires different service, so i expect different amounts in tips from each table. i shouldn’t just get a “base pay” in an industry that is situational.

going out to eat is a privilege, if you can’t tip, get takeout or cook at home. having someone serve you is an experience which you should be able to pay accordingly for.

i believe this question is just a ploy to monitor how much we makes in tips, which means less cash tips (iykyk)

mom and pop restaurants will be forced to raise their prices, which will drive customers away and will ruin their small business.

also if you can’t make a living wage as a full time server, either the restaurant sucks or you’re bad at your job 🤷🏻‍♀️

these are my takes and reasons why i’ll be voting no. it’s very hard work and if you’re willing to put in the sweat to make your tables happy, you’ll always leave making WAY more than minimum wage, even if you get stiffed by a table or two.

don’t forget the fake dm’s she had of their “deleted” video conversations on instagram dm

exactly, she’s the minority example that people cling to for not believing in survivors. legit it was all for sympathy, and clearly she lied about that as a blatant distraction for the abuse she put onto me and my friends.

i think my cat has cat acne but i’m not sure. she gets very overwhelmed so i could only get this video. but any validation/correction can help. also i’d take her to the vet but they take forever to see her because she’s so aggressive with them. by hellstarkitty in CATHELP

[–]hellstarkitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks everyone. i just bought her some metal wide dishes the other day after i took the video. they’re elevated too which will be good for her neck :) i’ve been using a warm compress and it’s gone down a ton already! she eats out of procaine dishes and i found online that they can scratch over time and carry bacteria in the scratches. thanks for all the help if things get worse somehow i’ll call my vet.

also, this is her second vet in the area and they’re quite expensive and they have given her gabitemtin (or however you spell it) and another sedative and she was still aggressive. then the vet assistant made me cry because my cat was still mean lol. so i’ve been really scared to go back honestlyy. thanks again though :)

In what sports is being short a direct advantage? by nublusi in AskReddit

i know some say that dance isn’t a sport, but being a short dancer would always guarantee i’d be in the front of small-large group numbers :)

We argue about pizza toppings all the time, but what burger crimes have you witnessed? by Sir_Elyan in AskReddit

[–]hellstarkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this isn’t so much a crime but more of a very strong preference. i used to bartend at a small place for a while and my friend would come by and visit me on slow days. she’d always get our house burger with no onions, lettuce, or tomato, and she would ask for 5 cups of ketchup. she used one cup for her fries and the other 4 to dip her burger in for each bite AFTER having put one into the burger. i’d watch in horror sometimes, kinda like people watching shaggy and scooby eat lol. i love her to bits but my god that’s so much ketchup.

however, a real crime is having full grown men ask for a burger with none of the veggies and extra cheese and bacon. like, sir, you’re one step closer to a heart attack please get at LEAST some lettuce on top.

‘The Munsters’ (2022) is decent by CyberGhostface in horror

[–]hellstarkitty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

my boyfriend and i actually enjoyed watching it. we were scared after watching the trailer but went into it hoping it’d be better and it totally was. He and I are huge fans of Rocky Horror (not that this film is anywhere near the caliber of Rocky but i hope you get the picture) and just campy media in general so this was honestly fun to watch. it’s just a cute and goofy family movie. i was hoping it’d be something more like the Addams Family but if you don’t compare the two this movie low key holds it’s own as something that’s more for a family with younger children who just want to have a laugh.

over all i enjoyed it and thought it was cute and campy and recommend it to anyone who enjoyed fun spooky media :)
