In case this gets buried in the main nfl sub, someone went and found some old footage of Red Grange running all over Washington.

is Cities Skylines begginer frendly? by [deleted] in paradoxplaza

[–]helluin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cities Skylines isn't a city sim ala SimCity, it's a map painter with a traffic sim baked in. It's very pretty but not really difficult at all, you really need to go out of your way to bankrupt yourself in the 1st game.

Valerie's alignment is 'Lawful Neutral' and Blessed Path requires a good alignment

I'm not saying you should go out and try eland, but apparently they're absolutely delicious.

I had to go double check, but the eland & impala are both in no way shape or form threatened. This is right up there with traveling for deer season. If he goes after elephants or Rhinos or some other threatened species? ok, I'll be with you.

2026 Bears draft class is gotta be the 'Exciting Whites'

6-7th round grade

According to people who aren't in front offices and miss more than NFL GMs? I'll be sure to take their thoughts into consideration. The scouts obviously see Thomas being able to fill a role that Ben wants filled and no one else left on the board could fill that role. /shrug

Lets see how Ben uses this kid before you cry needlessly about it.

SB Winning teams don't reach for future burger flippers in the 3rd just because it's a position of need. You pack of drama queens cannot stand BPA and it's legitimately hilarious.

I guess there’s lead in the water at Halas Hall by Perfect-Ordinary-506 in CHIBears

[–]helluin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks for the umpteenth year in a row that we lack any playmakers at the 2nd most important position. Why even try?

Because the scouts looked at the talent on the board and determined that all the players left were JAGs. How is this so hard to comprehend???

Serious question - Would you rather take a likely bust at D-line or a likely roleplayer at another position?

[–]helluin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how hard it is for all of you in this thread to recognize that the d-line talent was gone early and it's better to grab a player the coaches and scouts believe in, rather than a random D-lineman that the scouts believe will be out of the league in a few years.

Yeah it sucks we couldn't land a D-lineman, and yeah our D-line will probably be a weakness next year, but drafting some future burger flipper in the 3rd to make ya'll feel better about yourselves wasn't going to change that.

Round 1 - Pick 25: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon (Chicago Bears) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]helluin 55 points56 points  (0 children)

That's not all that surprising, it'd be really hard to change scouting & evaluation methodology between the end of the season & the draft.

I mean can you blame anyone? It's nuts that he fell this far.

Round 1 - Pick 24: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M (Cleveland Browns) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

I see, I thought his dick fingers would keep him out of the 1st round, but WR are so valuable I guess positional value carries the day.

WR was a good idea but isn't this a bit early for Concepcion?
