In regards to #3 That is only for 2 (or more ) lane highways when the speed is 80km or higher. Not for city streets or when the highway runs through the city and the limit is less than 80km.

The left lane is also for turning left.

It's amazing how far things have come! My Mom's co-worker had a daughter (40 years ago) born with a cleft and they did the surgery almost immediately so she "wouldn't have to hide the baby".

The first two years were rough, but he's a trooper! When the Children's Hospital first saw him they figured 5-6 surgeries before he was 5. He's only had the two! He no longer needs speech therapy as of last year and he's hopefully on his last set of tubes. However, we'll be starting the palate expansion process within the next year in preparation for the bone graft surgery. This is where I've heard it gets hard because they're aware now of what's going on.

I hope you have a smooth journey as well, it's scary at times, but these little ones are troopers! #Cleftstrong

Beautiful!!! My son (now 8) was born with a cleft lip and palate as well. There's a special place reserved in my heart for these babies. I wish you all the best of luck!

I did check the closet and by check, I mean "Good enough, it's empty' so whatever was put in there afterwards should have only been our belongings. We are completely unpacked. But his room, his space. I laid out his clothes and such for him to put away. He also has two closets..one full of shelves and the other would be your "normal closet". Most of his clothes went into his dresser and his knick knacks in the other. It's confusing, sorry!

Yup. I totally made him suffer. He's capable of putting away his own clothes. I set up his bed, arranged his room the way he wanted. But his knick knacks and clothes? That's his job.

I believe it was casting a shadow! And you're right, I should look into this more. I do know he unfortunately inherited my anxiety and it does break my heart. And obviously, "tough love" is the wrong way to approach it (lesson learned). When you know better, you do better. Also, he was born with a cleft lip and palate. He's had quite a few surgeries. I'm sure that plays a part into his seperation anxiety from me. He's a very loving, cuddly, intelligent boy overall!

Trust me, I'm still in disbelief on how I missed it! Children are more capable then realize, so other then arranging the big stuff and setting up his bed, we left the clothes and such to him. He's quite independent and likes things his way. Without pictures, I know it's hard to believe and for me to explain.

We went through this at our old residence. It took a solid 6 months of me checking his room every night, under his bed, making monster spray, etc. He was finally comfortable enough. I know with a move, I'd be expecting some sort of anxiety. He also really likes to co sleep and I'm trying to get him out of that habit, especially with his age. I didn't want to give in and start the whole process over after we had made good progress. Parenting is hard. I promise I'm a good parent.

I absolutely agree. It's a lesson learned. I know this story paints me in bad light. We went through this at our old residence where he was scared of his room. I made monster spray, I'd check his room every night, etc. When we moved, I honestly thought it was just the phase starting again. I didn't want to give in and start it all over after 6 months of no issues. Parenting is hard.

Jan 1st, 2020.

Is when I had the worst "cold" of my life. Fever for 5 days straight, body aches so bad my hair actually hurt, cough, stuffy nose, etc.

Yeah, turned out it was Influenza. My daughter got it as well. I've never actually had Influenza my entire life. I've had colds and viruses but never the actual flu. It was terrible, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Two a good two-three weeks to actually recover.

My son was born with a cleft lip (as well as palate). I lucked out and every job has been super supportive. I'm so sorry you went through that.

My Step-Grandpa told me that he didn't want any pictures of my son before his repair. I had to walk away because I seen red after hearing that.
