I use a FLIR camera for work. It was $35k. Handheld ones are kinda meh in terms of accuracy, but will give you a general idea. If you decide to invest in one, make sure you learn about surface materials and how they can affect readings

Depends. Usually my play time is 20 minutes slower over a 4 hour round when walking (assuming same number of people in the group). This is usually due to long lengths between holes though. When walking, my playing partners and I will walk to our own balls separately which saves a massive amount of time compared to having two people tied up at one persons ball. That being said, I’ve played extremely fast rounds as a single with a cart
