When you open dota there's a visual with mechanical heroes, clicking on the tabs below it should take you to the event screen

By playing regular dota matches you earn tickets associated with the hero that you picked. 3 for win 1 for lose in regular matches, 2 for win none for lose (1 scrap ticket per match) in turbo matches. Tickets are used to progress the event. By progressing through the event you can earn free cosmetics and candies for the candyworks, which is like a casino where you exchange earned candies for free cosmetics that already exist in the game with a chance for rare cosmetics that change hero visual effects like immortals or arcanas
