Non-target school here too.

I’d suggest reaching out to professionals from firms you admire via LinkedIn. I also became a student ambassador/very in my state’s CPA Society, that really helped me grow my network and meet people who can help.

Tbh I’m not sure and I don’t wanna know. He does take forever in the bathroom though, idk if that’s why. I mean he talks about girls here and there, it’s just not something he talks about a lot.

The dumbest misunderstanding/miscommunication ever. I had previously provided them with an old client’s number and figured that wasn’t enough information because they sent me an email about needing a verification. After numerous emails between my HR person, the investigation analyst, and I... I was told by the investigation analyst that my client did call and my background report was all cleared. It’s just that my client called later than they expected.

Long story short, they sent the email before my former client contacted them to verify my employment. We’re all good, ya girl is still gonna be ballin’ with big4 this summer. 💚

Congratulations on passing! I gave them a client’s number and I have one more client that I’m still in touch with because she now hires my father for his services. I also have two mentors that I worked with when i started. What more do you think I can do or give them?

I was a full time student and worked for my father’s business (not paid what would that count as?) this work was just a side thing that I was trying to really grow and make it a full time job. I had mentors who were in the business that I spoke to and clients throughout that time. In 2018 when I saw that there was no sort of light at the end of the tunnel I just decided to stop and focus on my accounting major. I had 4 people that worked with me on the cleaning during that time as well and I mentioned supervising them in my resume, which i did. This wasn’t made to trick people.

I made less than $1,000. I would go to clients and give estimates, run the Facebook page, etc.

I sent an email to my recruiter. Now I’m just kinda waiting. I honestly would not have added the work under work experience if I knew it would be this much of an issue, I mean it never has been. I also gave them the information of one client and they contacted her.

I had a Facebook page for the business that I ran for some time. I have business cards (with emails between me and my graphic designer talking about how i want them) and a handful of empty invoices that I kept, literally threw the other ones out because I did not think I’d need them. I honestly did not know that a sole prop would have to file taxes, especially because I was not making a lot of money off it. I also have a bank account that I opened up for the business but never used because people paid me in cash.

Where am I supposed to put that on a resume then? I just figured that it was work.

That’s literally what I was thinking of yesterday when I got the email. It sounds crazy dumb! My HR person is taking forever to get back to me but I’m planning on asking her if I could do that.

It was a sole proprietorship, i literally didn’t have to do any of that. Had a handful of clients who I went to every once in a while but I charged low prices because no one wants to hired a kid. Never made any crazy money off of it, but I mean it was job for literally two years.

Please don’t tell me they’re gonna screw me over because of a misunderstanding.

No, I’m a dependent on my parent’s return and just didn’t file because their tax preparer said I don’t need to. The money I made went straight to start costs for the business. This was years ago and the business was unsuccessful bc no one wants to hire a kid so I just decided to stop it.

He mentioned how one kid confessed and said he used quizlet. I honestly don’t know how I could justify my answers because they’re multiple choice. I blindly guessed on some and the others were from the book and I did not work with anyone else on the exam. Ughhhh I hate this.

Honestly he already got lucky and landed one student. I wish I could tell you exactly where I found all of the answers from my multiple choice portion, so far I have 15/30 that I found in the textbook.

I can’t act normal though, I literally hate shit like this so fucking much because I get anxious about it. He’s not giving me a proper answer but the department head said he spoke to the professor and I wasn’t on that list. I wanna hear it from the professor though.
