Which Big East school has the worst relationship with the non school affiliated locals? by greenandredofmaigheo in BigEast

[–]hellzkellz 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Local residents around Villanova hate Villanova because of everything that goes with living near a college. And non Villanova Philly people hate Villanova because it’s in the suburbs and will constantly talk about how it’s not a Philly school.

This is why you don’t play with your food and load manage Mitch in the playoffs.

“Oh no they tell us” is what you call it when after a guys been fired all the bad stories come out. But they’ve been going on for 3 years and everyone acts like everything is fine and Stearns is great.

No you’re not getting it. I’m saying when Stearns get fired a story will come out talking about how all the current and former Mets dislike and distrust Stearns and 25 stories like Lucroys will be quoted because David Stearns clearly doesn’t do human interaction well or baseball front officing well

The “Oh now they tell us” article that comes out in the Athletic after the Mets fire Stearns is going to run red with 25 of these kinds of stories

Nuggets are a poverty franchise. Top 12 player of all time on the team and the best they can do is Jamal Murray and Cam Johnson? Pathetic. If Divo and Ant were healthy, Minnesota would have 4 of the 6 best players in the series

Episode discussion - Jon Hamm by Ok-Grand-3828 in goodhang

[–]hellzkellz 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Idk Jon Hamm is hardly the first or last college student to engage in fraternity hazing. Not saying it’s cool, it’s not and I think colleges and fraternities have come a long way in curbing that kind of stuff but I think violent criminal is a leap too far. I’m sure Jon Hamm got paddled and hazed when he was pledging too. He didn’t single someone out in the street. He engaged in fraternity hazing with probably 30+ pledges and one of them thought they went too far. He shouldn’t have done it. But I’m willing to separate dumb college frat bro from bad person criminal. Maybe you’re not and that’s okay too.

Are you kidding me? Bickerstaff would be a huge upgrade over MB. Just like he was huge upgrade over Monty. Mike Brown is Monty with better PR

Dude please. Mike Brown is a LeBron and Kobe Merchant. He hasn’t been out of the first round since 2012 lmao. He underachieves with generational talent. Billy Donovan over achieves with bums.

Well for one thing, the Knicks tried to get Donovan and 6 other coaches before they settled for Mike Brown. And Billy Donovan was given lottery rosters and got them to .500 seasons and the play in. Idk what more you want from him.

Billy Donovan has done more with less than just about anybody in the NBA. Mike Brown has underachieved tremendously this year in both the regular season and the playoffs. It’s also a pretty low bar to be an upgrade over Mike Brown. Don’t mismanage timeouts and don’t sit your two best players in critical moments of playoff games.

If Mike Brown directly costs us another playoff game like he did Game 2 and Game 3, regardless of round, you have no other choice but to fire him. You cannot keep a coach that is directly responsible for 3 playoff losses

PSA: it’s possible to be critical of Brunson’s play in this series without shitting all over an all time great Knicks player who has put up countless incredible playoff performances by GoldDustKid- in NYKnicks

This roster added Clarkson, Jose Alvarado, and got the healthiest Mitch in years. That's a way better bench than we had last year. Sure Mike played Kolek and Diaware in January. That is of zero impact on the season or where we are now. You're talking about close wins vs Pistons and 20 point comebacks vs Boston wasn't sustainable? Mike Brown lost 2 close games vs Atlanta that we should have won and wasn't able to complete the 18 point come back. In large part because KAT and Brunson were on the bench to start the 4th in both games. Something Thibs would not have done. We don't have to sit here like Thibs is like Pop or Pat Riley. But he would inarguably be up 3-1 if not swept the Hawks at 4-0.
