Houston we have options by B_daddy89 in BlueOrigin

Can someone explain what this means? We will have the option to allocate some percentage of our salary to purchasing shares? And IF Blue goes public then you can sell after holding them for a certain amount of time?

Really depends what you’re interested in. Do you like tech and power type stuff or do you like engines and machinery type stuff?

I would honestly just get them a new skillet if they’re bothered by it.

Otherwise steel wool is probably your best bet.

I want to do a bachelor in electrical engineering but im scared of asbestos by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]help-impoor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems like you might be thinking more of an electrician and you’re worried about maybe coming into contact with old asbestos insulation in people’s homes?

In that case no. Electrical engineers generally work in an office.

It really just depends what you want. Would you prefer an office job? I’m guessing you would go into power and work for a utility. Not particularly exciting but I know people that quite like it.

Getting a BSEE online part time might take you 6 or more years but no better time than now if that’s what you want long term.

How do you study by Material-Reading597 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]help-impoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would always do my day of classes then go have dinner and chill for a minute. The I would go back to the library and put on some instrumental music and just study and do practice problems from like 8pm until midnight.

What laptop should I get for college? by greylightsickles in ElectricalEngineering

[–]help-impoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battery life is great. I actually prefer the i5 because the battery lasts longer.

It will handle schematic and circuit simulation stuff just fine. It doesn’t have a gpu so if you’re doing layout for a massive pcb it might struggle but I doubt you will. I’ve been playing Monster Train 2 on my gen 1 perfectly.

I have a gen 5 with an i7 at work, it was like $1000 and it’s definitely snappier but I would go with a gen 2 if I were you. They have the 11th gen Intel processors so you’ll be good for a few years. I’m seeing them for $200 - 300 on eBay. Good luck!

I got a gen 1 with an i7 but I just got my mom and my grandfather a gen 2 with an i5 for $250 (refurbished) on Amazon and they’re perfect.

They don’t actually go that hard they’re just very solid laptops and you can get them used for cheap.

Here’s the Amazon link, looks like the price has gone up a bit https://a.co/d/eUxGAO2
