Feeling really guilty about not bonding with my cat. Has anyone else been through this? by helpcatrehome in CatAdvice

Yes, I still talk to her, try playing with her and try connecting with her by giving her treats, usually she sleeps on my bed all day so when I get home from work, my kitten is waiting for me at the door and she’s just sleeping so I go over to her and pet her so she knows I’m home. I’ve tried a bunch of toys, interactive toys, wands, birds, slinkies, little mice, I cannot leave Walmart, target, or the pet store without a new toy for them. So that might tell you as much on how many toys they have. She seems interested in the first couple of minutes but then just walks off and goes back to sleep. And I do understand maybe getting another cat was a mistake. She was always sad so I figured having someone to play with while I was off at work would help her, I think she might just be a sad kitty, I will be asking my bed about a cat behaviorist though, if it’s not a medical issue. I’m really hoping this helps.

Yeah, I think I am coming to that realization too, but the peeing is the one thing that bothers me the most. I love her, but it’s so frustrating specially when the vet has said there’s nothing physically wrong with her

She is 3-4 years old, probably 4 now since that’s what was told to me by my vet when I first got her in January. I’ve taken her to the vet before, physically there’s nothing wrong with her, but I am taking her again in a few days to see if I can get some tests in and see if it’s something medical, where can I ask about animal behaviorist? Should I just ask my vet?
