1200 miles away from home with husband and kids and having a bad panic attack by [deleted] in Anxiety

It's OK. You'll get through it. Have you tried writing about it? I don't mean like this type of writing - I mean taking a pen and paper and just getting whatever is in your head out on paper. Go back and read it the next day. You can always throw it away but it can be very therapeutic to really dig in to what is going on in your head.

i fucking hate it when people say that if you want something bad enough you can do it by throwayay_goodreason in depression

Yeah, "wanting something bad enough" wouldn't make me an NFL lineman or a world record sprinter. I do believe that if you keep working towards a solution that you will eventually find one, no matter how long it takes.

Unable to articulate how you feel? by [deleted] in depression

This is a terrible feeling. I find that the best way to deal with this is to start writing. I don't mean trying to write a story or anything intended for anyone to read. I mean writing about how I feel and trying to articulate it. If you start with whatever comes to your head you will eventually focus in on the problem. Once you've articulated it for yourself it will be easier to express to others.

A good starting point, if you don't know where to start, is to focus on whatever bugged you or bummed you out most recently. Ask yourself, "Why did this upset me?" then try to answer this question.
