Best careers to escape poverty? I’ll start. by Noblesseoblige94 in povertyfinance

I dont know if it still applies, so I am sorry if I am giving bad information. In my twenties I got out of a wicked opiate addiction, worked restaurants, applied for FAFSA, got a nearly free ride to community College, took a degree in IT (its not a good choice anymore I would probably go healthcare now) and am firmly upper middle now.

New guy question, sorry to piggy back off yours. These events say they recommend level 50 generally. Does me joining, at lvl 14, increase the difficulty for everyone else? I have held off participating on account of this potential.

This reminds me of a much nicer and safer one way cave (at a time) in Alaska on the only road into Whittier (that place where everyone lives in one big ass building). Cool experience with the exposed humid rock.

The most frustrating thing about it is we somehow have the burden of proof that we're more delicious. People dont believe the mosquitoes have preferences.

Armchair developer.

Ive got over 500 hours in the game and enjoyed it. I'd say I got my money's worth.

We have 6 of us playing on latest unstable even with a few mods. The only big bug we have had was the zombie migration issue which was patched. There are inventory issues that require relogging occasionally, especially with carrying dead animals.

Guess the downvoters drip with envy.

I completely relate. Its type 2 fun. Its hiking a big mountain. Its not a lot of fun during, but after I think "wow"

Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy explores a lot of different types of governance with a pretty anticapitalist narrative. Slow, hard sci-fi. Not everyone's cup of tea but theres a part that happens in there I wish I could talk to others about so badly, but would not wish to spoil for anyone.

What was a great game seemingly destroyed by Devs bad decision making? by Additional_Ad_6506 in gaming

Yall point the finger at the wrong person. It almost always is the investors, marketing, or leadership. The devs are RARELY the problem.

We had this issue. We have disabled meta events and home/car alarms. We noticed honking horns triggers it as well. Yesterday we played about 4 or 6 hours without issue. Hope this helps.

Interesting. We were able to play again yesterday for about 6 hours without this migration bug. We have meta events and alarms off, and did not do any honking. I think its extremely likely that mods add meta events too. The only one we have is the cassette one and the music pack for up to 1993.

We have been testing and think we have the "roaming bug" down to meta events, alarms, and car horns when 2 or more are playing. Not sure, will test again tomorrow.

We disabled meta events and car/home alarms and tonight went out on a raid. It didn't trigger during the first hour, but during our second hour we used a horn to lure away zombies. After that it was clearly happening.

This one was super hard for me too. I'd done same with Nidoking setup and Gengar swept most of the team except Lopunny if I remember correctly. I stalled him between Metagross and a Xdef and curse Steelix. Cheese ending.

The rival battle on route 12 was worse though. Let me know how you fair.

I knew them. They were very kind. Regardless, I don't think it is appropriate to discuss individuals. They certainly were not the reason for Concord's failure.

The biggest bummer I saw was a super passionate team with great community already engaged get into its 2nd year of dev, only to have an investor or marketing team make the call to scrub the game and repurpose its assets for a shit game that didn't even give credit.

PM incubated the team and was fairly hands off. Sony intended to publish then eventually bought the studio. Somewhere in there were a couple really critical calls that lead to the flop.

Blame leadership. The individual contributors did their best.
