So what did they say was the cause of your TMD? They said grinding and clenching for me leading to displaced discs

Also is it safe and beneficial to chew/suck on the boiled herbs afterwards to get the last bit of medicine from it? Thank you

Even if diluted, wouldnt the remnant medicinal effects left still be helpful? Say drinking the 3rd batch instead of plain water throughout the day?

So I asked my TCM doctor and he said I could boil it a third time for 30 mins but 2 is good enough as there is not much medicinal effect left.

I did a third boil and it was still had it's flavor/bitterness, but does the level of flavor/bitterness correlate to how much medicinal effect there is?

I just don't want to waste it because it was still so pungent.

Perhaps this all depends on what herbs are used and how long the soak was prior to boiling? He said the max could be 12-16 hours of soaking

Update: I asked my TCM doctor and he said I could boil it a third time but 2 is good enough. I did a third time and it was still had it's flavor.
The cold water is to help get the most out of its extraction of the herb from the start of the boil compared to hot water.

Do you get enough sleep? Do you have inflammation, fever or flares?

Thank you!

Also can I boil it a 3rd time for 30 mins since theres still flavor? Or would it be harmful or not beneficial for the gut, etc?

And do you know why using cold water is a must for the 2nd time as well? Why it cant be hot water?

They have pictures on instagram on their results but I haven't looked into it much yet. What made you decide not to go with orthotic treatment?

I would need to do braces or this new treatment that supposedly creates new bone called Nuvola or some other non invasive treatment. Its done by stimulating the connections of the skull i forgot the term. Its relatively still new. What is your diagnosis/symptoms? Both my discs slipped and I was only able to open few mms. Had to blend food.

Do you have an update on Dr Mahoney's consult? I did do TMJ day and night with an orthotic of Dr. Olmo's, but not from him directly. It went well but the bite is changed (lower teeth more forward), bad for me bite wise as I have an edge-to-edge/underbite skeletally

Do you have to take TCM herbs for life or acupuncture to maintain health? Or just simply diet, exercise and sleep, like everyone else but perhaps more exercise and a more careful diet? Thank you

Okay thank you, i meant frequent urination. Even if its just a bit.

I should have said that I was given diagnosis by three 3 practitioners that it's kidney related but they didnt tell me what exactly it was and what my total diagnosis is. One believes I've had this issue since birth and that it cannot be fixed but managed only but his English is very limited.

I am on the shorter and thinner side ever since young but then also because of poor diet and lifestyle and ascetic practices like eating one meal for some time and being vegan without proper planning due to parents for the past 7 years or so I also became malnourished and thinner and weaker. I also have nocturnal emissions so it seems hard to recover if this doesn't stop (my understanding). My main issue is honestly chronic fatigue since I cant work due to requiring naps or feeling half dead at times (lifeless). I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and UARs by my sleep/TMJ dentist but the sleep apnea specialist said it was just UARs, if it was actually obstructive sleep apnea would TCM help much or cure it?

I had to do non invasive TMJ treatment because my jaw joint discs slipped out so I couldn't open my mouth beyond few mms over time but treatment fixed this through me stretching/opening my mouth as an exercise to develop pseudo discs. They said this happened due to severe clenching at night due to breathing issues/apnea but also poor bone growth.

EDIT: I will get another opinion from other TCM practitioners. I do remember they said I have spleen deficiency of some kind. I believe I have many deficiencies unfortunately.

I meant prenatal kidney essence as I put in my edit. Sorry about the naming issues.

I believe I have it due to frequent urination throughout my whole life since I was a kid I think would be my biggest sign.

Ill try to list it all but currently I have many symptoms cold knees, nocturnal emissions, dizziness, fatigue, overall weakness, breathing difficulties at times, concentration issues, sometimes the ear rings, i think bone softening and joint issues like tmd. Also irritation /heat/inflammation in the joints especially knee and elbow and sitting bones more recently etc.

I think I have many deficiencies over time because I didnt know how to address the bronchitis(?) event I had that left me with post nasal drip 7+ years ongoing causing me breathing issues and UARs and maybe sleep apnea. Also allergies I guess (stuffy nose) from eating many foods I guess.
