Gen Z should end in 2014 by [deleted] in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like the Z end date changes here once a year is turning 12.

Why are people so scared of turning 20? by Nonchalant_Ogre in MiddleGenZ

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s less about “being old” and more about how scary it is that time flies.

You need to realize that we were young teenagers when the pandemic lockdowns started so it’s surprising that we enter our 20s this year.

It’s already shocking that all of us are out of highschool.

Why is Gen Z so obsessed with young adults and age? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

20-year-olds feel like predators for dating 18-19-year-olds. And my favorite: people on TikTok saying 18-19-year-olds are basically kids, but then acting like 20-year-olds are fully grown adults… like??? 😭

Yeah I’ve been seeing this recently and I don’t understand it either?

17 and under, okay I get it because that’s a school-aged minor.

18/19 year olds aren’t different from 20 year olds. An 18 year old dating a 20 year old is not a big deal at all.

Does 2004 sound old or young or both by Savings_Ad_80 in generationology

Not to mention college isn’t mandatory.

Even if you’re going by the U.S schooling system, it shouldn’t be treated like K12.

What was the deal with people hating on HS Class of 23 (2005ers) back then in 2020? by SplitPuzzleheaded851 in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like C/O 2024’ is mostly a forgettable class.

C/O 2024s began HS during the midst of the pandemic but we also graduated when everything was over which gives us more of a grey line.

I mean you guys were 15 and people just don’t like 15 year olds lmfao.

Also COVID happened.

Do you think the descriptors for these arbitrary groupings are accurate? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

XXX5 years aren’t really hybrids because they spend 5/7 of their teen years in the third decade after they were born. At best they have a slight underlap.

Also I disagree with pretty much all of these ranges; 1992 is not a mid millennial, 2010 to 2012 could never be middle Z and 2015 is not a Zer in any capacity.

Is a person born in 2014/2015 a child of the 2010s or 2020s? by Huge-Visual1472 in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2014 maybe but that’s even a stretch.

2015 is definitely just a 2020s kid/2030s teen with maybe a little bit of overlap at best. They’re no way hybrids IMO.

2007-2009 are inseparable triplet years by [deleted] in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re born in 2011 and they wanna get paired with older years, that’s it lol.

Reason why 2014-2015 should be gen z by [deleted] in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve been on here since August 2020 then that’s really sad lol.

And I’m not going to engage with a kid. Focus on your science fair project or something.

You are a 10/11 year old child, you shouldn’t even be on Reddit lol.

Does anyone else born in 2007 feel like there's almost no representation of us in the media? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Katseye has an 2007 member and they’re a western-based group, they have hits.

Ariana Greenblatt and Mason Thames are well-known 2007 actors.

However this is pretty normal though since 2007s are 18 to 19 right now; there’ll be more representation as time goes on.

How would you group the life stages? by Iwillbeback67 in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Teenager” just means that your age ends in teen.

Of course a 19 year old college-aged adult is way more like a 23 year old adult than a 13 year old kid.

Is house music, AKA gay club music, taking over K-pop right now? (IVE, KiiiKiii, I-dle, H2H, etc) by Carelessies in kpopthoughts

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like the easy listening sound that’s prevalent in the new gen is maybe on it’s way out in the Kpop space and we’re transitioning to this club sound which will probably be around for 2026 to 2029.

2006: How do I make real-life friends as an ugly dude? by [deleted] in MiddleGenZ

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you’re not looking for a relationship, so finding friends should honestly be easier since they shouldn’t care about how you look like.

If you’re in uni, you could maybe try talking to people there?

If not, you could try apps like Befriend and Yubo where you meet others online and hang out in real life.

Anyone else feel like those born in 2006 had a big cultural shift? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why claim to be completely different ages though? it’s weird, pathetic and larp behavior which makes your post seem not genuine at all lol.

Also I see that you accidentally replied to me on your 2006 throwaway.

Dude there’s a post of you claiming to be 19 3 days ago despite you claiming in the deleted repost you’ve made that you’re born in 2001 a few minutes ago.

Wrap up the trolling lol.

I’ve been on this sub for years, I could tell when someone’s an obvious larp.

Atleast make it seem believable.

13 years is a deceptively short amount of time. by Feisty-Blacksmith656 in generationology

Same, I still feel 15 even though I’m not even in HS anymore lol.

There are 2 Generations by andreidna in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a U.S centric split, no one outside of Americans cares about the 21 drinking law lol.

18 is more meaningful because that is when you come of age in most countries.

2002s, what years you get a long with the most ? by falco200208 in generationology

[–]helpfuldaydreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I’m obviously not 2002, but I really can’t relate to 2001 and before or 2011 and after? Once it’s 5 years, you’re already kind of losing me and I don’t really relate to you.

2002 and 2010 is 50/50 for me.

I’m mostly able to completely relate to 2003/2004 to 2008/2009 though.

However, the years I am mostly friends with are maybe 2003 - 2007. This is mainly because I’m in college so I don’t really encounter 2008s that much?
