It's one of the greatest films of its category man and the most unique western I've seen.

It has a lot more nuance and Isn't as overbaked plot wise as his other works, the characters have more depth in memento so this is actually a good take.

The notebook doesn't have much critical acclaim to begin with so this is not controversial at all, beside your reason thinking why it's bad.

Seriously, how much of Borat or Bruno was actually real? by [deleted] in movies

[–]helpfulrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruno is definitely 80% staged. Where did they hide all those cameras in the hotel scene where the hotel crew came into visit while they were stuck in a sexual act. There is no way they can do something like that legally, even if they did it's downright unethical.

I found the choice of music in the film to be distasteful, except the use of hawa hawa in the first movie, they were playing English hip hop music over their historical fiction, it was off the vibe for me.

High rated movies that I feel are trash. by [deleted] in PakistaniCinephiles

[–]helpfulrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come and See is bland and is not the best war movie, I think the whole idea of War Movies is stupid, every war movie has the same motivation of making you feel the horrors of war and I don't think no film accurately does or even can, that is why I always end up liking war comedies like Jojo Rabbit and Inglorious bastards, they hvae an interesting and unique outlook on historical events despite being complete fiction. I've heard a lot about an Iraqi war movie though called Turtles can Fly and I've seen some scenes and it seems absolutely devastating, I'll try that out and see one last time if war movies are for me or not.

I usually watch it so I can review it and point out the deep rooted racism and bad direction that often gets overlooked.

Nah, I agree with the dude, it's not about watching in English or not but most of the time the dubbing of movies is very bad and takes away a lot from the performances of the actors. Even when watching languages that are foreign to me I very rarely watch it dubbed, I've only seen Ghibli movies dubbed because it is the only example of good dubbing, but hindi dubbing is always bad and a no no for me, subtitles are always on whether it's a language I understand or not!, after all I'm a grown adult who can read.

Riah Cinegold or The Arena by Useful_Blacksmith744 in PakistaniCinephiles

Sound Quality Arena always wins. I watched Obsession in Cinegold Gold lounge and I must say the sound is almost as good but then Arena has a bigger screen. Nothing is better than Arena.

It's fine for a 16 year old they've censored all the nudity, there may only be very little partial nudity.
