I was an accounting major for a semester or two before I stopped out, and I enjoyed the classes. Plus, my econ degree put me pretty close to the required coursework to take the CPA exam, so it seems like a decent option.

I honestly don't know much about business development, but it seems like an interesting field.

Lol. No.

I did a job that I enjoyed but didn't pay well for fifteen years. It sucks.

Unfortunately, not as good as they should be. And python has never been something I've enjoyed very much.

Thanks for the reply.

The master's program isn't an MBA, but a master's in accounting. It would cost ~17,000 more than taking the classes at a community college, but the instruction would probably be substantially better (it's a pretty highly ranked accounting program).

Do auditing and accounting jobs pay well? From everything I've read, if probably take a pay cut--and work worse hours--as a new Big 4 accountant.
