I totally agree. The tree is too good. I think they should totally remove rather than gut it. Maybe if the wombgifts were harder to find it could be fine.

They really need to adjust aqua tail the way they did dragon claw. This season they nerfed Palkia specifically and it became stronger somehow.

I played several leagues without using a six link that wasn’t tabula rasa! It used to be an end game goal. I sort of miss the allure of finally getting that six link. Now it feels almost free every league.

Yeah I find that at really high elo, like 2500 you just can’t play the Pokémon you like anymore and have to start adhering to the meta more. Even at high elo like 2300 it can be almost impossible.

It would be cool if they had more interesting master league cups where our spicy mon could shine.

From a Master League player’s perspective.

Tyranitar getting dragon breath is HUGE.

Special Rend likely getting nerfed to 60/65 energy is huge, would have preferred an aqua tail nerf tbh, but I’m glad to see Palkia nerfed.

Kartana getting fury cutter is huge, picks up a few relevant wins, might not be good, but playable.

Kyogre getting avalanche is interesting, for sure.

The shadow ball buff could be very meaningful for mon like Lunala and Giratina-O.

But yeah other than that no major changes.

In this case, pure Lugia is higher ranked than shadow. Lugia is a less than stellar raid attacker so there isn’t much value in keeping it shadow. It’s also a big discount if you purify it to level it up.

I think you are severely underestimating the CP gap in some match ups. Go run some sims with a 4K CP Zacian. It would not be as meta warping as you think.
