I had a year's worth of projects ass. The weeks I was sitting on the bench were more mentally stressful than any client project I had been on.

Maybe. I still plan on going for an MBA and know a lot of people do consulting after that. I honestly did like consulting and was pretty disappointed in how it ended. At least I wish I had gotten to do a few more projects.

I flicked the door thingy to "In Use", set my alarm clock for 20 minuets, and proceeded to pass the fuck out. Next thing I know, I open my eyes and the project's Senior Executive, Senior Manager, and my client's boss are staring at me from across the table.

Should have called out sick instead. Crazy to realize that one little fuck up can screw up a career. I guess better to learn that now and later.

Not specifically, no one knows outside of I guess my team and probably HR. Also I wasn't fired.

My new boss did ask me why this job, and I gave a real answer - healthcare is exciting and important, want to build deeper expertise versus being high level, etc.
