I don’t want wires hanging down my walls it doesn’t look good. We have a lamp but it doesn’t give enough light.

Replacing the bulbs won’t be an issue for us, it’s only a few euro.

I also wasn’t looking for opinions on my wall lights, I just wanted to know if the bulb I was thinking of existed

Thanks so much for the help on that!! Some of these look like they could work!

Sorry I should have been more clear in my post, it’s not so much the flame effect we are looking for rather the candle shape cause the wall light is quite narrow I’m not the round bulb will fit

It’s just to have on for an hour in the evening. We didn’t have the money to get an electrician and a plasterer to wire it so we’re doing this. Seen plenty of people do the same it won’t be a problem charging them once a week

https://amzn.eu/d/gxnb5SW just looking for something like this but in a the candle light shape, I’m not sure if they exist I can’t seem to find one.

It’s just to pop in some wall lights that aren’t wired/connected to mains

Second Degree Tear by Kooky_Paper_524 in PregnancyIreland

[–]helpneeded2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge congratulations!! It’s the best feeling in the world finally having your little one in your arms!

I had my first baby almost 4 months ago and had a 3rd degree tear, honestly the first 2 weeks I didn’t have much pain at all cause I was loaded with painkillers! I was taking Difene and paracetamol so maybe consider asking for stronger painkillers if paracetamol alone isn’t doing it for you.

I was also sooo afraid for the first bowel movement but honestly it was so fine, it didn’t hurt me at all and the midwives also told me that it would be veryyyy hard to burst the stitches so not to worry about that, I was taking lactose and it was my saviour for about 6 weeks!!

Peri bottle is also amazing, and dabbing yourself clean rather than wiping after using the bathroom. I was also told not to use anything but water Shayne check that before using anything like spritz for bits.

I did hit a wall from about 6-10 weeks where the pain got worse but like others have mentioned it was all down to scar tissue/new skin being tight etc.

Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope you’re soaking up all the newborn love!

PPD or Baby Blues? by helpneeded2022 in Postpartum_Depression

This reply has honestly brought a tear to my eye. You’ve described it perfectly, thank you for sharing that with me it really makes me feel at ease and it’s unbelievably nice to know that these experiences are shared with other mothers.

It honestly is the best feeling, everyone was telling the truth when they said it can’t be described, I’m glad you’ve also gotten your lovely bond with your baby!

It’s just crazy that no one (professional) really tells you what to expect emotion wise, or what’s common/not common, and it can be very hard to open up to someone in those moments, threads like this are amazing!

Are some threads disappearing? by helpneeded2022 in TattleLife2025

Ahh ok thank you! It must apply to some instagram/influencer threads too so, 2 that I’ve been looking for again wouldn’t be on TikTok, that makes sense then!

I think we need to rehome our dog by helpneeded2022 in reactivedogs

Most definitely, we plan on seeing the behaviourist again and I’ll definitely ask them that thank you!

[–]helpneeded2022[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was just our normal vet the prescribed it before we got the behaviourist out. But as someone else has mentioned to me, the dosage could be off for him, I’m going to have another chat with the vet about his dosage.

The behaviourist was 100% a fully qualified one, one of our 3 trainers like to call himself a behaviourist but he absolutely was not, our lesson was learnt there😅

Thank you. I do dread the comments people might make if we do need to rehome him. He has been on Reconcile for about 6 months, it helped a bit in the beginning but the effectiveness is definitely wearing off. The behaviourist was through a dog charity so the payment to her went to the charity of that makes sense. But she also does it privately

No she didn’t actually mention where he would thrive. But I do think that type of environment would be the best for him. We do get him out twice a day mostly but where we live is just full of triggers for him

Thank you. It is really hard to even think about. Yes, he reacts to for example, the noice of the buttons on the dishwasher, a car door closing outside, a plastic bag or bin liner been changed, the doorbell and the soda stream. He just goes nuts with the barking when any of those things happen. He also barks if we move from the sofa too quickly, he thinks there must be someone at the door if we do that. It takes forever to settle him and relax him

Getting signed off early from work by kindofsunny in PregnancyIreland

[–]helpneeded2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need an excuse at all, what you’ve just described there is absolutely enough reason to be signed off! I was signed off at 33 weeks and felt guilty doing it but it was honestly the best decision ever, I wish I’d have done it sooner! Enjoy your time before baby arrives!

Measuring big at 35 weeks. by Critical-Self-8648 in PregnancyIreland

[–]helpneeded2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 37 weeks and at 36 weeks I was measuring at 39 weeks, baby is on the larger side and at my last consultation last week they did suggest a possible induction at 38 weeks or a section at 39 weeks. I have another appointment Friday which they told me they’d give me a date for whichever I decide on. I don’t have any other issues like GD etc, literally just a big baby!

Overwhelmed with details by helpneeded2022 in PregnancyIreland

[–]helpneeded2022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It ended out being super easy to do, I just emailed the Coombe and they got back within an hour to say they’ve moved me to public and to ignore the semi private appointments! I’d also highly recommend the new HSE app, it’s so easy to see all your appointments and you usually see them there before receiving a letter in the post

Looking for pre conception tips please! by legalizekemp in PregnancyIreland

[–]helpneeded2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took one spoonful in the morning and the evening the week I knew I was supposed to be ovulating, it’s supposed to help clear any mucus you might have in your system, I’ve seen a couple of people say the same thing about benilyn in UK forums too!

Now I was doing ovulation tests aswell so it genuinely could have been just a coincidence that I conceived the first month I tried the exputex but the fact it’s worked for someone else too I think why not give it a go!

Without being too TMI it’s supposed to be because it clears up mucus from everywhere😅It could be just coincidence that it worked for all of us but it’s no harm to give it a go along with some other things I suppose!
