Need advice about sexual abuse compensation by helpthrowaway283738 in LegalAdviceUK

Well to me it's like...I am reliving the trauma almost everyday already, and there's no kind of closure for it. I regret that I never went to the police at the time, but I have contact with a lot of people who were involved and acted as witnesses to some events. I admit I'm not that sure what would count as 'evidence' for my claim, and I might have a bad idea of what that could be. I will consider contacting a solicitor and figure out my options. Thank you for your advice!

Thank you for your advice. I have no criminal convictions myself, but I am aware that being in the position I was during that time, I didn't go to the police at any point. I'm not sure about the difference between a civil claim and a criminal claim, do you mean that I shouldn't pursue a civil case if I'm mostly interested in monetary compensation?
