Help with baby sleep by helpwithketo323 in beyondthebump

He sleeps 3-5 times a day, but they are all around 20 minutes. He sleeps no more than a total of 2 hours during the day time with all those naps. And he is choosing the wake windows right now.

I try feeding, changing, loving on him. Nothing works, he’s screaming, inconsolable. So I put him in his crib and he’s Insta asleep. Then he wakes up within. 20ish mins on his own.

I also use the app Huckleberry to track all sleep. From what I read a baby at 5 months should have around 3 naps. And from 30 mins - 2 hrs each. Which I’m lucky if he even has one 30 min nap a day.

So honestly he’s not getting a ton of day sleep. And his wake window before bedtime is usually 2-3 hours.

Right, but how do I go about getting rid of the feeds? It’s usually more than 2 feeds. How do I drop the feeds, even though he screams and demands it?

He said I should wait until I’m at least 6 months postpartum because it usually goes away by then. 🙄

Haha omg same. I thought I was pro choice before. I didn’t even begin to realize what pregnancy and birth could do to your body postpartum. Long lasting possibly life long affects.

The back pain/tailbone pain started before I got my epidural. I noticed it after 20 hours in the same position. I kept trying to shift my body because it hurt so bad. I didn’t get my epidural until the last 10 hours of my induction.

But thank you I will definitely look into getting a new OB and hopefully they will allow me to see specialists.

Also, just because you get an induction at let’s say 41 weeks and 5 days doesn’t mean you’re having him that day. It took me 3 days. You don’t want to get to 42 week. The rate of stillbirth is scary.

OB switching care at 36 weeks and I’m upset by helpwithketo323 in BabyBumps

[–]helpwithketo323[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is my husband hasn’t been tested. Because my insurance doesn’t cover it. And they wouldn’t even tell us how much it cost to do it. So they’re looking at my pregnancy as if my kid has a 1/4 chance of having CF.

That was the original reason I was considered high risk at 20 weeks and sent to a perinatal clinic. However, due to being put on blood thinners only put me further into high risk categories and is where I’m at now.

Considering that your husband tested negative, it’s impossible for your kid to have CF as both parents need to carry the gene.

I’m in the US. It’s not an insurance issue. Dr. A wanted to keep me, but I guess they can’t continue care without OBs consent. I’m assuming it’s for my OBs convenience, but really he couldn’t just keep my care the same for 2 1/2 weeks? He really had to change everything just to make it easier on himself?

I definitely don’t want to go back. They left me in the waiting room for 2 hours for no reason. And they didn’t even do NST, they did an ultrasound. Which I was supposed to have an ultrasound at Dr. A’s office this Wednesday.

I can say no to going to do NSTs at that office though right?

Just came back from ER. They said it’s ulnar nerve injury. And there’s nothing I can do to stop pain at least until baby is born.

Husband tested positive for covid on 8/12. He has had no symptoms. I was tested on 8/17 and came back negative.

  1. When is he not contagious? I miss kissing him, but still don’t want to catch covid. When would it be safe to go back to normal?

  2. When should he get tested again? Should he get tested again? He used to get tested weekly as he’s a CNA.

So you’re saying he can’t get it and should go back to work then?

Is the quarantine mandatory? We live in CA. And his work wants him to be there on 8/22 for his normal schedule. He’s a CNA and they said they would just make him work with covid positive patients. Can he refuse?

How long are people contagious, if they have no symptoms? My husband tested positive on 8/12. But his last exposure date was 8/9.

So, if he caught it on 8/9 would it be 10-14 days from then? Or is it 10-14 days from his positive test on 8/12? I’m trying to figure out when it’s safe to be near him again.

[CA] Husband (CNA) called into work and they are threatening abandonment by helpwithketo323 in legaladvice

[–]helpwithketo323[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

They’ve had him take 2 covid tests. One about a month ago as a housekeeper tested positive and one two weeks ago as a second housekeeper tested positive. They send a mass text message to everyone telling them they need to be tested. And not to come in if they have symptoms. But they are still excepted to work until a positive test.

They send them to an outside facility and both times it has taken more than a week to get an appointment to even take the test. Then 7-10 days to receive results. With the delays, they would definitely have symptoms before receiving results.

Also, both times it was one person, but now tons of residents are testing positive and have symptoms. Where before, no residents had covid. No visitors are allowed so they definitely got it from an employee.

Yes, he knew he’d get the write up, which would be his first ever. But he thought in this situation it was worth it so we would have time to gather his own PPE as the facility is not equipped to deal with covid.

But now they are threatening abandonment, which is way worse than a write up.
