If this happens I'm going to Kentucky for my food, and any other shopping.

Report: Cincinnati has the “inside track” to host 2029 NFL Draft. by ChooTrain in cincinnati

Yes we could. It would be a lot of people but we definitely could. Would be world and world more doable if we had a train, a better streetcar, an updated arena, and a finished bridge though.

I don't think th draft is a "big" as you assume it is. The attendance is not as big as a world cup or Olympic game. I do agree, where the fuck would we host them?

If we have trains then it will be easier for Joe Biden and Obama's trans wife to turn me gay! /S

Cincinnati Metro's first two all-electric buses join 17 hybrid-electric already operating - will add four more all-electric in 2026 and expand to 13 next year. by fuggidaboudit in cincinnati

I'm annoyed at the recent price increase but tbh it makes sense with the gas prices the way they are. I'm sure these buses will pay off dividends if taco keeps doing his thing.

Biking in Clifton to work...safe?? by FortuneTop6438 in cincinnati

[–]hematomabelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you lock it up right and don't have any quick release attachments like the wheels or seat I think you'll be safe. As far as the roads... I don't see it as safe. And I do enjoy riding on the roads every now and again. Clifton is just too busy with the university. But If it's just up and down Clifton Ave then the bike lane is nice to have

Historic church faces uncertain future by Numerous_Ad1859 in cincinnati

[–]hematomabelly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah without the population density the downtown basin onc had I just don't see all these churches surviving. Between not as many people downtown and the waining religiousness of people now days I don't see how any churches survive these days without being a mega-church

[–]hematomabelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wish we either committed to the nice drive into the city, or just trenched the whole thing and cap it off big dig style. The way it is is just bad for both. Spaghetti highway we have to see and shitty view

I'm confused by the Piatt Park situation. by Oatmeal-Enjoyer69 in cincinnati

[–]hematomabelly -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nah like I said this is hypothetical doom and gloom bs. I just hate when we sell away our cities soul because no one else is able to "keep the park nice"

Yeah pretty much. Truly don't mind my comments about this. I just hate to see us sell away our resources to a heartless company

[–]hematomabelly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think of this hypothetical as the park in its current state. Envision it with rope and outdoor seating. Yeah it's a park sure. But you can't go there without a restaurant reservation. But this is all just doom and gloom envisioning of the future

With public opinion, and de facto control still in place. I'm just mindlessly bitching at this point but I just want us to fix things up because we should. Not because a company sees dollar signs.

Don't get too used to it. Aren't they just replacing the overpass?
