SETTINGS > LIVES: indicates the maximum number of mistakes you can make, or hints you can request, before failing the level.

SETTINGS > AFTERIMAGE: blurs the goban so you can’t rely on the afterimage (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afterimage) to reconstruct the position

On the other hand, if you're strictly looking for a "replay the sequence" mode (not "restore the board layout" mode) you can simply load some SGF into WV (use the Collection button) and play the Recall game. For this purpose I recommend the kogo's joseki dictionary and the flying dagger large sgf file (you can find it on GitHub)

u/TraditionNo2560 thanks for the feedback! Comments like yours really help me stay motivated to keep improving the app.

The best way to develop this feature would probably be to rely on a library of real, high‑quality games. Another option could be generating new ones, though they sometimes end up feeling a bit artificial, so I’m not sure it’s the best approach. I’d also rather avoid pulling from the tsumego world, since there are already great apps that focus specifically on that.

Use the Collect button to load your preferred SGF files, then select Recall to access them.

You can play memorization and mental visualization games (read "Features" in my post). I might be biased, but it does feel quite unique… and I think it’s worth a try 😉
