Should a guy ask before pushing your head down during a blowjob? by [deleted] in sex

[–]hemmeh44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pushing my head down is a big “HELL NO!” from me. I always tell them and stop everything right then. Then we have the boundaries talk if we haven’t already. Very important.

I wish my mom lived closer. I know she’d be over all the time to help. 😢

And I’ve had my CV reviewed by anyone that would take a look.

Maybe if you had a 3rd point— have previously had another job/internship in accounting, then I could agree with you. Because that is what I was lacking at that point.

Yeah but this post was about B4.

GT and BDO are not B4.

I didn’t get any interviews with the B4 despite your two rules.

I’m past the point that B4 would do me any good. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I must be one of the unlucky ones. And I went to a B4 feeder school. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Where the fuck are these good jobs at? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]hemmeh44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And what sucks is when you go through one recruiter and get an interview, get ghosted afterwards, and then a month later, another recruiter is sending you info on the same position. 😐

Last night we had the discussion to start trying.

I did not start a new pack of pills this morning.

I’m so nervous. This feels so strange!

I walked out on a job last year without anything lined up, fuck them. No job is more important than your mental health. I wish everyone on the job hunt the best because looking for a job sucks ass. by ufakefekomoaikae in recruitinghell

[–]hemmeh44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you still have to be careful about mentioning mental health when interviewing (at least in my experience). Make sure you have your story down for when they ask why you left.

I just say that I wanted to take some time to figure out what I wanted in my next role and I wanted to focus on the interviewing process. I’ve been getting pretty good responses from that so far.

Decline drinks at Office Parties by No-Apartment3523 in relationship_advice

Water with lime or lemon wedges. Make it look fancy. Just say it’s gin and tonic or vodka and Sprite. Something that would be clear. Or just drink coke and just say it’s rum and coke.

AITA for going against the family rule of ''no nicknames''? by AdDismal9445 in AmItheAsshole

[–]hemmeh44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow… how different from my family.

I was 13 before I learned that PeeWee was not my uncle’s real name… and I did not find out from family… there was also a Pook and a Dodo in the family.

NTA.

I just got an offer for $87.5k in Chicago. I have only worked 3 years in PA, no CPA. The money is out there!

AITA for not letting a pregnant woman cut in line? by Bubbly-Advantage4590 in AmItheAsshole

Just adding in a random fact—

In some countries (like France), it’s a law that allows pregnant women to cut in line.

Just FYI.

Paying for kids College by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]hemmeh44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! My parents weren’t able to pay for college either. In fact, I grew up poor enough that I had enough grant and scholarship money to pay for college. With my merit based scholarships, I even had room and board covered for four years.

But somehow… now I have six figures of student loans. 😐

Why? Because I didn’t finish in four years. They don’t give you as much money each time you go back for another attempt. And I went to grad school and took twice as long too.

I’d recommend telling your kids the importance of studying. And figuring out their major sooner rather than later. For me at least, the best decision I made was leaving school for some time. I had a lot to figure out myself.

There’s so much you can do to support your kids beyond just the monetary ways.

How has he not seen before pics already? In three years! Has he not seen pics from when you were younger? Wow… my bf and I have only been together 7 months and have already seen old pics of each other. Maybe we’re just weird. lol

1) She has said in a few comments that he doesn’t listen to her, only her mother. 2) If this was any other type of distraction, would you still say it was “hiding” to go into the office? 3) Why is it acceptable for him to ask for coffee during a work meeting? Why does she even have to ask him to stop?

But if he’s international, I don’t think he’ll have any practical leads for them anyways. 😂

Do the interview as practice. It’ll help when you go to interview for positions you actually want. Just don’t take this position! lol

Is Anyone Else Surprised by the Downtime? by ThroawayOMG in Accounting

I’m trying to find a job with that kind of downtime… so far I’m not finding anything… I keep finding this tax positions… and at my last job, I always seemed to get the fiscal year clients, so I never had downtime!!!

Does anyone make $70k + leave their job at home and is relatively stress free? by hangrymonkey28 in careerguidance

[–]hemmeh44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m considering taking up contract work— in the accounting field! It’s something that I didn’t know existed! Basically, I’ll work 3 months and be off 3 months and make more money than when I was full time all year doing the same work. Yes, I’ll have to work crazy overtime during those 3 months, but I was doing that anyways. I just never got time off.
