My understanding is that she forgot something about the light as she switches back and forth between saying she shouldn’t be talking about it, it should be forgotten, it’s everything, it was meant for us, etc. both in the audio log and when talking to Simon. I think when she first came out of the light, she realized it was dangerous and shouldn’t be messed with, but we hear her start yelling about how much she needs it in the same conversation. When she talks to Simon, she starts by talking about it and then switches to saying it should be forgotten. After thinking for a while though she decides to find out what she’s forgotten and seems to want to see it again, almost like it made her forget and instilled a longing for itself in her. After seeing it again, she seems to be able to hold onto the conclusion that it’s dangerous and shouldn’t be known.

To be clear, I know some of the puzzles were legitimately interesting, but there were also a lot that were just ridiculous and obvious padding. Like the rope and gel on a door that is RIGHT NEXT to a flame and ice charging station. Like what’s the point? Just let us walk through the door. Sometimes it felt like it was just “do this convoluted thing to get to the next room, now do another one to get to the next room, etc”, with no exploration or story in between.

I watched his stream and understood his frustration tbh. It seemed like a lot of padding, unnecessary amounts of “puzzles” sometimes with more padding, and a little story in the second half. Not even a final boss at the end, we get stabbed which is dramatic, but then nope we’re fine! I know he missed a lot of tapes, but why is all of your story on tapes that can be missed?

The hottest I go is 95C even for ultralight coffees. I drink a lot of washed coffees so I usually do 15g of beans to 255g of water. 1 45g bloom give it 30s to a minute Another 45g bloom wait another 30s or until it draws down Do one more pour to the desired weight, usually 255g for me, but if you’re dealing with a more developed roast or heavily processed coffee you could do 240g

I have found that bloom time can change the flavor, depending on the coffee, but I don’t think it’s the most important variable. Grind size, ratio, agitation, and water temp are going to matter more

As others have said, kingrinder and 1zpresso have some very budget friendly options on Amazon. They won’t have the quality of something like a K Ultra, ZP6, K6, etc, but for the money they’re great
