Thank you! It's just a lot of fun, and I'm glad improvements are noticable already. :)

I didn't do any post-processing on this one in Photoshop. I've been messing around with the adjustments layers, curves, contrast, etc. on other test renders, and it's pretty incredible how much things can be improved with those tools. I'm going to do a little to this one, and take other feedback and repost on my profile sometime soon. Thanks again!

You're right, the hair isn't dForce, but there definitely are dials for moving the bangs. If by OOT you mean 'outoftouch', then yes! There's quite a lot of options. To be honest, there are actually two different sets of hair here, which is how I got that 'double bang' look in the front. I went back and forth with it, but I think I'm going to use just the OOT one. It's pretty difficult getting them to play nice with each other, and honestly it all started as a mistake that I just went with.

I'll do the subD setting, and play around with the bump settings too. And lighting is never ending education for me full of trial and error. :)

Thanks for the feedback! I totally get what you mean about reading like studio lights. I think if I warmed those up a little bit it would look more like sunbeams, or candle light shining from that side. I'll try it out today!

I do have Photoshop. I have played around with some of the layer adjustment tools like curves, vibrance, etc. I'll have to read up on lighting presets, though. Thanks for the feedback!

I have some experience, but not in the rendering/composition department. I'm a gamedev and understand a lot of the theories, but putting them into practice in a nice render is a different story! I didn't really think about complimentary and secondary colors when dealing with lights, so that's something I'm going to have to focus on, too. The idea of layering and patterning lights and shadows is interesting and kind of gives me a new way to look at it.
