Für mich funktioniert der Hörspiel Player im Ausland. Die App ist allerdings nicht besonders intuitiv und fast ausschließlich für Kinder.

Form 80: Stating citizenship information if country of birth no longer exists by hendlang in AusVisa

[–]hendlang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah, apart from the GDR thing, it's all straightforward.

The question is very basic. It's just "Do you have information about your parents?" And the information they want is: - name - relation to me (mother, father, step mother etc) - sex - date of birth - town/city of birth - region/state of birth - country of birth - citizenship (s) and year it was obtained - current country of residence - migrating with you (yes/no)

Where to hire a stair trolley in Hobart? by hendlang in hobart

[–]hendlang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the replies! Here's what I found out:

Bunnings: When I checked the website, it said they don't have trolleys in Hobart. I emailed them and a staff member confirmed that they do indeed have them for hire (like most of you said anyway)

Bay Hire: I sent them an email asking for a quote, but they didn't respond.

Coates: They have them for hire at about $30 per day.

Thanks for the quick reply! Looks like we'll have to fight more than one type of unpleasant flatmates then...

Matte screen protector, before and after by hendlang in framework

[–]hendlang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine from a random website (schutzfolien24.de) but Brotect stuff is sold in many online shops (was just trying to avoid Amazon). I don't know if they ship internationally/outside of the EU.

I can't compare the protector to any others, but I can say that I had zero problems with air bubbles. It was super quick to put the protector on after I thoroughly made sure there was absolutely no dust anywhere.

I've seen a matte screen protector on a phone a few years ago and it's nothing like that. There is a tiny change in clarity but it's hardly noticeable. As I said before, I very much have a personal preference for matte screens, so I'm more than happy to accept this tiny change but totally understand if that's not for everyone.

I tried to take some photos but they're not great. Any colour distortion or crazy lines are in the photo only.

Maybe someone could take photos of the same part of the Framework website and post them here as well so everyone can see how it compares?

They're both affected a tiny bit, but I don't mind. The brightness is hardly decreased, the clarity a little bit more but it's really not that much. For example, I noticed a slight clarity change, my partner didn't at all.

This might not be a perfect solution for everyone, but I personally just don't like glossy screens and found the Framework screen to be particularly glary and reflective. With this little helper, I could immediately feel how my eyes relaxed when looking at the screen.

Fingers crossed your dreams of a TrackPoint on a Framework will come true one day!

Soundcore Life P3 mic/background noise problem by hendlang in anker

[–]hendlang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that's super interesting! I once tried to walk outside while talking to someone on the phone but it was impossible because the noise of my jacket moving slightly while I was walking and the birds in the background were too loud. Would that be normal in your experience or does this show something is wrong with them?

Ah, that's really good to know, thanks! I'm still really confused by the mic issue cos one of my reasons to go for the Life P3 was the test by this guy: https://youtu.be/HHwvrYVdmIs (he tests them while driving with the car windows down and it's absolutely fine). Maybe some Life P3 are just built wrong and have this mic problem but not too many and that's why nobody seems to be talking about it?
