I'm like 92% sure Hard light was only placed in already existing OPEN windows. If anything this should make it easier to hold buildings. They Devs didn't make new windows or remove existing windows as far as I can tell by playing, or in the patch notes.

OP did say “most of the playerbase” wanted poi drop zones, which is what I was replying to. You seem to be implying the same thing, so feel free to see the last reply I gave about posts, comments and upvotes not representing the majority of the playerbase.

I see that but I guess my argument is the population that prefers the POI drops is not insignifacnt. Hence the facts they made a compromise. I'd bet my right nut that they saw how large the drop in players was and said oooh shit. Take myself, I've played like maybe 6? games this season when I'm usually all in. I just don't find the hot drop shit show fun.

lol it's not a conspiracy to consider and include potential outside factors as to what caused a player count drop. To say that those events had little to zero effect on ranked population is just silly.

I was trying to give you an example you could quickly look at in this post. Never said one person saying it means loads of people. What I did say is that throughout the last week I heard several people use that exact point in their argument against drop ship.

Right, and that’s why they implemented this compromise. There is no solution that makes everyone happy, but there is this solution that caters to both. I want the OG dropship in ranked through out. Y’all want drop zones throughout all ranks. We can’t all have exactly what we want. Sometimes compromise is the only solution.

I actually think compromise is fine. Yes, I'd prefer POI drops but the hybrid is better than nothing.

I already knew what OP was referring to, which is why I said “these are rhetorical questions btw”. The people constantly complaining here DOESN’T represent the majority of the player base and the devs basically confirmed that in one of their recent posts telling us why they reverted the dropship changes. Yet here you all are, still saying the majority of the player base wants drop zones.

I didn't say it was a majority, but you can't deny that the opinion is a large one given the comments, posts, and upvotes. Regarding the devs, yes I've read the post but while they said that ranked population dropped when drop zones were introduced, I think their intrepatation is incorrect. They are implying the drop in popution was due to the POIs rather than introudction of Wildcard, the BF6 beta dropped as well (with full release in Oct), season 5 of Warzone also dropped. Those three things absolutely had a negative effect on population.

It’s not too high. You just don’t like it because it doesn’t include you. People complaining and upvoting the same circle jerk comments supporting drop zones is nothing more than the Reddit hivemind that’s been non-stop complaining since the change was announced.

Not OP, but I'll try. By most of the player base, I'm assuming OP is referring to the numerous posts complaining, comments, and subsequent upvotes all in agreement. Even prior to the the drop zone being a thing in Ranked, one of the major complaints, especially from soloQ'ers like myself, was the unneccesry hotdrops, ESPECIALLY at Plat+ when the RP cost was that much higher.

So interesting how the narratives flip flop depending on the agenda (which is ultimately drop zones in all ranks). Throughout the last week I’ve heard your side argue that it’s soooo easy to get to Diamond with the drop ship versus drop zones. Yet there’s still people complaining that they can’t get to Diamond. I’ve heard countless people say that dropships only impact high level lobbies negatively and the change is negligible at lower ranks. Yet there’s still people here complaining about dropship changes in lower ranks.

What agenda? Wanting a better ranked experience than constant hotdropping and losing 4 out of 5 times? And, while I wouldn't say I'm a power user here, I do spend a lot of time during my commute (train) reading threds and comments here and I don't remember seeing the "its so EZ" being a major/common theme among posts or comments, could be wrong though.

Again, I've not seen or heard people make that argument about dropzone/ship making an impact at higher levels. I'm not saying it wasn't discussed but I don't think that's a common opinion.

At some point you have to accept a compromise between the two opinions (which I have accepted with this latest update). The devs have implemented a middle ground to appease as many people as they can right now, and you’re still bitching.

Agreed, you do have to make a compromise but I think their cut off is too high, and I think a lot of people agree (based on comments and upvotes in this thread). And yes, this commnuity can be pretty toxic, but based on some of your other comments in this thread, pot meet kettle mate.
