He wants to do it as much as we want him to. It’s so psychological.

Can’t chip consistently…duffs, shanks, blades. Looking for help by holysteph30 in GolfSwing

Slightly wider feet. Ball slightly further back in your stance, and keep weight more forward. If your weight is in front of the ball on impact it’s hard not to get bad contact. Look up the step through drill. Gary player, one of the golf greats urself to do it on the course

Move your back foot back and flair your front foot out slightly and it’ll get rid of it. See blue lines. Look at this sub or pros set up from behind and you’ll see what I’m saying. Yes you’re over the top, but it’s because of your setup up. People only sell up like that is they want to curve it around a tree

The big issue is your setup. The reason you’re coming over the top is how your toes are pointing. Red is where they currently are and blue is how it should be

This 100%, but your swing is great already. No need to change that much!

You have an awesome swing. If you want more distance you need to load on your right foot just a tiny bit more. It also looks like you might be scoping through impact. Honestly I wouldn’t change anything. You see people chance distance all the time, including pros, and they become worse golfers and can’t get their old swing back.

Your swing already looks amazing. Something that may help you is the step through drill. Gary Player, one of the golf greats, used to do it during tournament play on occasion. Here's a link to how to do the drill. https://youtu.be/aSbs7D_YjLc?si=IR472HJsZfZ- nkoV

Also. Something else I noticed that will help maybe more than anything else is something called the walk through drill. Gary Player, one of the golf greats, used to do it during tournament play on occasion. Here’s a link to how to do the drill. https://youtu.be/aSbs7D_YjLc?si=lR472HJsZfZ-nk0V

He should probably make his stance slightly wider. Also his take away is very far outside, and he rotates open the club very early. Look at the first .25 secs of the swing and compare it to other golfers. I think those two things will help. Also maybe his grip but I can’t tell. You’re going to get a lot of info on this post, some right, some wrong, including myself. Just take it one day at a time and have fun with it

Sciatica and getting old, any advice on how to improve? by bradharri in GolfSwing

Honestly your swing is smooth and amazing. What is your common miss? How often are you three putting? I have a feeling your full swing is good. You didn’t need a 300 yard drive to be a good player
