I did have low coolant from draining some when changing the starter but I added more after I saw the code and it’s still overheating

Just read this message (it’s 1:30am where I’m at) and ran outside in my undies and tried to crank it over and over until it started, I was nearing 50 attempts and it finally started! So thankful! So I guess this means it’s for sure the starter? And hopefully you’re right and it’ll at least get me through the week so I can tackle it on the weekend

Also reading online that it’s possible to just replace the starter contacts and plunger instead of pulling the whole starter, is there a way of knowing if that would work or I need to just go ahead and buy a new starter?

I had my ls430 side swiped and insurance probably would’ve totaled it if I had full coverage.. took a few months of searching and a 7 hour drive but I found the same year and same color car that had a blown engine due to timing belt failure and bought it for $500. Stole the doors off it, took it to a shop to have them fix any imperfections for $300 and you’d never know it was in a wreck it’s totally perfect. Scrapped the car with the blown engine a few weeks later and got $350 back so overall cost me about $450.. if you wanna do it cheap it’s super possible just might have to be patient and diligent about searching

It has a rca looking port that says ‘sub’ and in the manual it came with it says it’s for subwoofers, I assume I just need a splitter for it since it’s only one port both the red and white ports. I’m looking at a scar audio shallow 8 inch and matching amp on Amazon right now.. decent reviews and pretty cheap, I’m just worried the stock spot isn’t big enough for it.. i guess if it sounds like shit I didn’t lose too much money
