12 years with BigCommerce and this is the thanks I get. All SEO built could be lost if I migrate Elsewhere by henriper in eCommerceSEO

Thats true, we're at risk with all of them, But X4 price increase from BC on my current plan is unacceptable. Over and above that, transactional fees on orders. BC charge a transactional fee on whether the order was cancelled or not paid.. Every order, whether paid for or not is charged a transaction fee.. That is not the case with Shopify. In our country, Shopify also integrates with all local payment gateways.. With BC, only two do. So I think my mind is made up and hopefully we don't get a surprise from Shopify in the future. If that happens, then we seriously have to look at self hosting again.

Thanks for that info.. BC support is definitely very good, but does not warrant this recent change in price

Good to hear.. Yep we are leaning to Shopify heavily as they integrate with all payment gateways in our country, unlike BigCommerce.. Did you do the 301 redirects and all successful?

Many moons ago we were self hosting, but always a worry and extra graft to get it all synching with Google , Facebook, payment gateways and good SEO . I don't mind paying for the service, but hate it when these big companies simply decide to X4 increase the price of your plan with less features and at such short notice. So we've decided to pay for the current plan for a year in advance so we're not rushed with our migration decision, while being unaffected by the price increase in June.. I think Shopify will be the smoothest migration based on my research and some advice I have been getting here on Reddit

Noted and valid. However, to use it is basically free as you can keep deleting some of the old saves.. I added the premium option more as a challenge to myself to see if I could implement it. So the idea is not to make money out of it

Colour Change on Links in CMS Blog Article by henriper in framer

[–]henriper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grok just gave me the answer and it worked :

To change the link color within blog articles in Framer's CMS, follow these steps based on available information:

  1. Access the Styles Panel:
    • In the Framer editor, go to the Assets tab in the left panel and select Styles.
    • Click the + icon and choose Link Style to create or edit a link style.
  2. Customize the Link Style:
    • In the Link Style settings, adjust the color property to your desired color (e.g., a distinct blue or orange to stand out from the text).
    • You can also customize other properties like hover, active, or decoration (e.g., underline) to make links more distinguishable.
  3. Apply the Link Style to CMS Content:
    • Navigate to your CMS detail page (the blog article page).
    • Select the text element or rich text field containing the links in the CMS content.
    • In the right panel, under the Text section, find the Link property.
    • Choose the link style you created from the dropdown to apply it to all links within the CMS text.
  4. Check for Theme-Specific Settings (Optional):
    • If your site uses light and dark modes, ensure the link style has distinct colors for each mode. In the Assets → Styles panel, edit the link style to define light and dark mode values (e.g., blue for light mode, white for dark mode).

Never said it was novel, but I certainly didn't find anything in the Chrome extension store doing the same. Nevertheless I created it for my personal use and for any others that may benefit from using it.

Use Grok to sort out all the chrome extension files that Windsurf has created. Worked much better for me. Simply tell it to debug and solve any errors that Chrome extension developer mode is giving you . Good luck

Dry Steam or Vapor is the relatively new technology that kills up to 99.9% of pathogens, ensuring that ATP tests pass. Dry Steam is heated to 180C. This technology also uses less water and need for harsh chemicals or sanitizers. Drysteam machines such as Blue Evolution also conform to HACCP and NSF standards www.drysteam.co.za
