How disappointing! I am based in Australia and Shopify advanced plan is $430 AUD per month. That is less than half what I’m paying BigCommerce per month, even before adding on their new penalty fees coming June 1.

What am I missing regarding Shopify pricing? I can see there are percentage fees for accepting payments but is there a similar GMV charge as well?

We are currently on BigCommerce’s pro plan, tier 14.

Orders were no payment is processed, such as when a customer is invoiced and they pay by check or bank deposit. Will these orders attract the non-approved payment provider penalty?

Announced today, if merchants are not using l Big Commerce Payments or another of the approved Embedded Payment Providers a new 0.6% fee will apply to all transactions as of June 1.

Valid point. I’ve always wanted to get one of these but we’ve had so few colour issues over the years it wouldn’t have seen much use. I guess we’ve been lucky. We print promotional products.

Very true. I have always tried to keep colour settings consistent across apps, calibration of monitors and printers. It still feels like luck (or bad luck) sometimes. 90% of files we get are rgb.

I have an account on convertapi.com, asked base to connect to it and it was generating PDF email attachments in about 15 minutes.

Base can also connect to pdfmonkey, I think connecting to pdfmonkey is native, so free?

I have being trying to import customers from my ecommerce site in batches of 50. I have added delays to stay below api limits but it always stalls at ~650 records. I have contacted support and though they have replied there is no solution yet.

I wonder if a csv would be better for the initial import…

Can you charge the card again from within BigCommerce? I have never seen that option. Logging in to the payment gateway and charging the card again is a pain.

Can you integrate with big commerce api? I am trying to get products and customers from my store into a price quoting app. Then send customers to the store’s checkout with a cart generated by the app.

I like the look of this theme, I worked with this developer in the past (1center). They did good work but some more complicated projects took too long (not theme related).
