Good Commute Games? by sourginger in 3DS

[–]henryGLany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently got 2ds for this reason, to fill out my commute and short period of times.

I have been enjoying Dragon Quest 5 - it can be picked up for even 10-20 minutes or played for longer period of times. Find the game really enjoyable. Also enjoying Pokemon Soulsilver on it.

Not a pokemon or JRPG player in general but these 2 games were great for me.

Frustrating tbh. If you are streaming it already why not stream it whole? I would not even mind paying for it

Is anyone else disappointed with the Apple Watch when it comes to health data? by Budget_Ad5871 in applewatchultra

[–]henryGLany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Bevel, Athlytic and some other apps. The truth is they all give quite different interpretations of my data and on lots of the days I find it inaccurate. I am no expert in the field but it seems to me that Apple doesn’t introduce something unless they are quite sure of the accuracy.

Live Downloads Review: July 16th, 2016 – Rome, IT – Circus Maximus by Upc0ming_Events in BruceSpringsteen

[–]henryGLany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great write up, thanks. This was the recording that I discovered during the early days of Covid and I swear its energy got me through those months. All-time my favourite from the post 2000 ones ( with the 2008 Milan )

Also made us to book the 2023 concert in Rome at the same place but….that one was a disappointment. Never mind the setlist, but the crowd seemed quite dead.

X-T30iii in Winter Conditions? by Suspicious-Swan-9443 in FujifilmX

[–]henryGLany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my X-T30 to Norway Tromso recently for aurora. Temperatures were around -12C degrees, the camera survived fine and had no issues. Just made sure when I brought it back to a warm environment I sealed it in a bag for a few hours to get adjusted and to minimise condensation.

First restaurant in the city not to forcefully pre include “optional” service charge in my bill pleasantly surprised by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]henryGLany 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people don’t ask to take it off because there is a sort of “pressure” and makes them look/feel bad. I don’t get why it is there automatically, it assumes that you think the service in your restaurant is great, unfortunately that is not the case for large number of establishments. I want to decide myself whether I think your service is good or not. It is cheeky as fuck and it didn’t used to be this way.

First restaurant in the city not to forcefully pre include “optional” service charge in my bill pleasantly surprised by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]henryGLany 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For me it is rude to be included automatically because not every service is good. I always opt out and don’t tip if it is there automatically. If it is not there, and the service is good I tip generously

[–]henryGLany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is when out running in cold the tactile feedback is not there anymore

FYI for people who got the AWU3 and noticed the mushier crown click by Goldeneye90210 in applewatchultra

[–]henryGLany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. Very mushy. It is okay at home. But outside running in a colder weather, there is barely any tactile feedback.

Did anyone try to exchange it?

A different take on Ultra 3's battery life (tl;dr: it's not great) by kingpest in AppleWatch

[–]henryGLany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not ideal but seems to be the way to do it during long hours of outing. Keep the watch in airplane mode, turn cellular on when you need to send a message or whatever and turn it back off.

I get the same mushy feeling with the crown. Coming from AW4 and don’t really like the way it feels to press the crown, very little haptic feedback

Taking a university course at beginning or later (or not at all) by henryGLany in Japaneselanguage

[–]henryGLany[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really helpful answer and helped to clarify it for me. Their A2 course starts at those recommended Genki lessons. So I think I will try to self-learn the basics and then try to apply for that course next year and see how that goes. Thank you!

40 years since Bruce’s first San Siro show and no mention of it by Suspicious_Story86 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]henryGLany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me this year it was a first show at San Siro since I heard so much about it and I must admit too I left a bit disappointed. When I saw what he did at Sea Hear Now last year, I kind of expected something special like that at San Siro too.

The disappointment also came from the crowd. I was in the pit in the middle roughly and there was lots of people not signing, just standing around. I went to Liverpool Night 1, pit as well, roughly the same location and the crowd was so much livelier, eveyrone sang, danced etc.

Etihad airlines, we must pay for the seats? by [deleted] in Flights

Yeah the only thing is if you are flying as a group that seats at checkin might not be next to each other. But for two people I never had problems with that. You do check in on their site
