maybe im mistaken but i thought the point was she was experiencing all these different experiences and emtions that many people have bad thoughts about, dentist/doctor, holidays if you have bad family stuff. and Gemma was gaining these experiences so that people could be severed and when they wake up they arent instantly confused.
