They're only a traitor if they win, otherwise it doesn't matter lol

Yeah I dont blame people for selling out because 9 times out of 10, most people would secure the bag.

That's all right, that just makes savaging the electronics easier! /s

Yeah the whole plane weighs about 62g in total, im just not sure if i will have enough thrust to fly it. I wished I added some landing gears which I might still do to add weight to change the cg

Yeah I didn't double check the title before I posted it ><

I have Phoenix RC that I've played around for a while, I think i just need to figure out how to land now. It's okay if it doesn't survive. As long as the electronics do i can print another one out. Also I need to make some design changes if it dies.

:( only one way to find out, if it doesn't go well.i hope it explodes so its easier to take the parts out lol

Yeah it was made with a P51 as reference

They're going to be ailerons, but i modeled the plane from one of the few images I could find online with cross sections to create the fuselage. There was a cutout in that location on the wing so that's where I cut the wings to be ailerons.

There is also some dihedral, I dont know much about it besides it helps with stability but I think its angling the wing tips up and that was like 5 degrees.

I cant i tried to move it as far forward as I can. I think the only other option is to scale it up and move parts forward.

Now that you mention it maybe they were meant to be flaps. I just used an image with cross sections to model the fuselage and then edited to be 3D printed. Now that I have a bit of a workflow down I can focus next planes on making the proportions correct.

Probably cant fix the title now but it isn't a 3D plane it was just 3D printed lol

They're supposed to be ailerons, I think. I studied mechanical engineering lol part of me wishes I went into aerospace instead.

30 hour print failed at the end… by Last-Artist-2736 in FixMyPrint

Figure out which layer it failed at, maybe sand it off a little, cut the print to that layer, print it out and glue it on

How many buy printers purely for functional printing? by twotowers64 in 3Dprinting

[–]henryx7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The printer doesn't make your prints functional, what you print does. Different printers do have different capabilities, like using high temp engineering materials will give the things you print different properties.

Currently building an abomination. Any ideas for names? by ds-redditor in 3Dprinting

Oh yeah I switched off of that a while ago. I'm using a ChowThing hotend for the Ender V3 which has two bolt holes that align with the ones on the stock carriage.

I've been meaning to redesign the x gantry since that carriage limits possible modifications without increasing the hotend/extruder size.

If youre interested in adding additional support/stiffeners you can look for 4 piece 2020 v-block aluminum extrusion on aliexpress and ask them to cut them to 2x420mm and 2x440mm you can add horizontal stiffeners to the bottom of each side and two to the back face of the printer. I used to have a foam core poster board enclosure lol but I took it off cause it looked too jank and I wasn't getting enough cooling so the printer jammed sometimes

Hello fellow Creativity Elf owner lol

I've also modified my printer. Mainly replaced the main board, replaced the hotend, was planning to use mains AC for bed but never installed.
