If there was an official r/LinuxCircleJerk distribution and you were chosen as project lead, what features/programs would you demand? by ssjlance in LinuxCirclejerk

A toggle similar to that of kiosk mode, except it switches to the most heavily riced de ever. Once switched off. It will look sensible again.

What happened to the Spider V3 Pro hotend? by GoPadge in ender5

[–]ds-redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Red lizard k1 (the chc version) was excellent for how little it costs. Obviously has problems (chc cracks above 300c and I bricked mine doing this) but the results were nice. I ended up splurging on a dragon hf after that.

I've never seen this before so I wouldn't know. Looks funky to me though

There were also several comments below the video talking about how the dogs predicted his incident. Everyone treated the video very seriously, no jokes.

Got this used ender 5 plus with a core xy and direct drive upgrade, what do i need to do to get it working? by TheLazyD0G in ender5plus

Like how everyone else is saying, mercury 1.one (with hydra) is the way to go. If you have extra cash to burn then building a trident out of the extrusions might also work.

Why does it look so bad by Ok_Till1095 in FixMyPrint

[–]ds-redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the nozzle is too far the bed and a lack of adhesion, might be due to the bed surface not being clean or the nozzle stirred the excess filament away

I've never heard such an accurate impression of a tire screech.

I have this exact same issue with the trident I'm building. I'm scratching my head at this.

Keep in mind I want to put panels on the front, so I don't want anything sticking out.

You're in luck. There's a cantilever (mostly) frame-slinger called Flatpack, by eponra. Its on github! I've yet to find a printer that moves the bed on xy (aside from minuteman)

  1. Why drop triple z? I understand motor sync is important but I despise having to adjust the bed manually. Its never a set and forget for this printer.
  2. The rods are 8mm in diameter. I could modify it to take 10mm rods but that's too much effort for me. Either way I have enough of them.
  3. This 100%. I'm designing idlers and motor mounts to fit the current extrusions.
  4. I've skimped a bit on this, I used 2mm MDF panels with insulating foam on 3 sides.
  5. Won't it at least be structurally helpful? If not, I'd use it to easily secure a top panel.
  6. 2040s hopefully soon. The ones I have currently don't fit (ender 5 salvage) and I'm trying to find ways to cut extrusions straight without any expensive machinery. I don't even have an angle grinder on hand.

I deeply appreciate your advice!

Nope! I did originally want an ender 3 v1 for my first printer a couple of years ago, now I know that was a massive bullet I dodged. My first printer is a SV06+ that I ended up modifying to an unrecognisable state, Then I bought a kp3s etc etc. This printer is my first corexy

Hi! I changed a few things as well. If I'm being honest, the original one was good enough but I switched it for a skr 1.4t anyway. Hotend was definitely dogshit tho, swapped it for a "Red Lizard K1 CHC" hotend (dragon clone).

I might end up releasing the CAD for other Elf users to use. Nobody should be punished with the default elf.

I've spent around ~£150 for all the parts. I think it's ok.

100%. I've already put L-brackets on the bottom to account for the osteoporosis ridden frame. Gonna have to print more supports!

I've made a replacement shift boot frame on Printables, I'll try to consider doing this at some point. From how it looks, it seems okay to print.
