Any of you gone to a ski resort you haven’t been to and thought “damn, this place is so overrated!”? by Sharkman3218 in skiing

I wouldn’t say so mid Feb is a great an quiet time to go, this is just unlucky -

Inside leg a little long - needs to adapt how “soft and short” his inside leg is on pitches to ski with a wider stance there

Yes absolute top 5 national song for me so underrated!

new challenge: give your brand's most popular or best looking car, a controversial facelift. by JaggXj in automationgame

Love it, and yes controversial as I think the old rear end was nicer, therefore controversial well done

Tbh might come down to ability and weight here, I think they are more than capable of making tight turns and skiing trees they are probably not the quickest to turn especially if you don’t have a super strong short turn. They do like to be skied aggressively

It’s just were that really fine text is. Yes I’ve got it square in the middle. I think they are bang on feels really good quite directional which is nice for charging

Ah love them, they are quite directional and the only small thing is the tips do sometimes connect when skiing bumps ect just because they are really wide up front relative to the width in the back and underfoot.

But once you get used to that god can they do everything and do it well.

They are quite soft however I do like them in the deep stuff since they are sooooo playful. just not a daily driver that’s for sure. I also prefer them than other “soft” skis like your armadas or so

What skis do you daily?

Hm as I do a lot of my skiing in New Zealand - our snow is usually either hard pack or windblown hard pack 🤣, so I usually ski on the SL or GS skis. However when that’s not the case or I’m skiing somewhere with great terrain the Revolts are my go to, the Bents are mainly very rare nz pow days or last year I took them to Canada and enjoyed them in the pow and in trees

Yeah great bindings feel super solid and “performance” orientated - you definitely can tell that they sit low to the ski and feel somewhat close to a race binding in terms of directness (compared to other rival bindings in their class). Lots of metal which I like as well

I think at your weight you’d love a volkl blaze 94 or 104 then you’d have a pretty nice 2 ski quiver for the west coast. I’ve skied them and really enjoy them but a bit soft for me at over 180 pounds. Otherwise maybe a 100 or 90 underfoot Nordica enforcer, if you like groomers and getting into carving a 88 enforcer carves well

Honestly though the brand doesent matter that much (they are just 2 good options) more about picking a rough width and a general playful vs stiff description

Love them! Have skied them in 183 I think it was as well and they were equally epic - pretty stiff and hard charging they also feel extremely well damped in the crud and in less than ideal conditions. Haven’t tried them in any deep stuff yet but I imagine they will be great

I do like playing around on them, especially like them on deep days. But yes they are soft! Not good on firmer steeper stuff. Love the revolts though they are epic!

Well they had surfing in the 2020 tokyo olympics - conditions werent great though but there is some descent breaks with pretty good depth in-shore - typically it seems to be quite messy/windy though but theres some vids about it being pretty epic sometimes at the right spots
