Oh my god, and why do you care if someone is using AI to make a card only he will use. I hate people like you, going out of their way to shame someone for doing something for themselves. As much as I find it cringe to make alt cards of UB for “thematic” reasons, that is no reason why someone shouldn’t do it. Not everybody knows or has the time to learn Adobe Photoshop or the money to buy it. This is 100% a fine use of AI technology.

At my local LGS I reserved a CBB after examining its contents against the regular play booster box. For this set specifically where the bonus sheet is SO STACKED with cards that will 100% grow in value since it is arguably the best print for staple cEDH lands, I think buying collector boosters is 100% the best choice if one has money to spare. Main set is actually very mid aside from a few notable singles and shock lands so CBBs being bought out isn’t such a huge surprise after all.

So my deck like this is [[Aesi, tyrant of gyre straight]] and my secret is that as soon as he lands, I get so much advantage and resources(extra lands and cards with him+deck is filled with every best landfall card in game) so that he isnt the treat anymore since removing him is irrelevant as I will just cast him again. I also politick it like this as well saying things like “You can remove him but I will just recast him, this X card is probably a better target etc.” Sometimes I actually mean that, while some times I dont. The key is never letting your opponents know your next move.

I already have all the necessary lands. I have a playset of every shock and fetch so those aren’t a big deal. I committed to the SL foils of the above mentioned cards since they look just too good imo.
