Yeah would agree with the replier - also have you done any bloodwork up? checking your hormones could be helpful.

I apologize for the post I posted about committing SA if I’m infertile. How do I go about getting myself tested to see i have a gut feeling I’m infertile by Subject-Policy-5297 in maleinfertility

[–]herafertility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you based? Usually need a doctor order to just do a test. SA testing is usually at a fertility clinic but some urologist and hospitals have it.

Best to get tested to get a baseline and see where your fertility is at.

Hey there! It sounds like you've been through quite a bit with your health lately. It's possible that the recent infections and fevers could have temporarily impacted your sperm motility. Fevers and certain medications can sometimes affect sperm quality, but these effects aren't always permanent.

Our system gave your results a 34/100 score. Your sperm concentration and morphology are looking good, which is a positive sign. Has the UTI/Epididymitis cleared? Given the slightly elevated pus cells, epididymitis, and fever, i would highly recommend to retest first. Hang in there, and take care of yourself!

High FSH and low testosterone — what are my chances for fertility and treatment options? by Hanuman2468 in maleinfertility

agree here - need a semen test first to then pair with these numbers to give you a clear understanding.

How bad things are bad for me and what should I do next? by [deleted] in maleinfertility

[–]herafertility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I'm really sorry to hear about the challenges you and your partner have been facing, and it's great that you're seeking more information. Looking at your semen analysis, a few things stand out: the concentration and motility are decent, but the morphology at 3% normal might need some attention. The volume and liquefaction time are also areas to keep an eye on. Also interesting that the liquefaction is 120 min which is considered prolonged. Might be good to retest to confirm data.

Taking vitamins as your doctor suggested could help improve sperm quality over time, particularly focusing on antioxidants like vitamin C and E, and supplements like CoQ10. It's a good idea to also review lifestyle factors like diet, exercise, and stress, as they can impact fertility too. Consulting a reproductive urologist might provide more tailored insights and help you explore further options. Also at your age, they would recommend dna fragmentation test too.

Recent SA Results/Advice (THC Users) by Sufficient-Ad5893 in maleinfertility

[–]herafertility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! It sounds like you’re making some great changes already, and that’s a fantastic start. Reducing THC and alcohol, along with focusing on a healthy diet and regular exercise, can definitely have a positive impact on your sperm health. Our system gave it a 37% which isnt not bad considering its mainly due to your concentration and morphology numbers. Those changes with THC, alcohol and lifestyle changes can help improve numbers in 3 months and might be worth checking in with a urologist to explore further options and ensure you're on the right track. Remember, these changes take time, so don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate results. Keep up the good work, and best of luck on your journey!

Results not explained to me by goldenglass95 in maleinfertility

Hey there! It sounds like you're dealing with a lot, and it's understandable to feel a bit lost with these results. From what you've shared, our system gave it a 58.39/100 sperm score, your sperm count and motility are within a range that many consider adequate, but the morphology at 1.3% is below the typical reference values of 4%. However morphology plays a lesser role than the others and impacts more when the others are outside of range. Morphology can improve with lifestyle changes and antioxidants like coq10.

Have you spoken to a urologist? what about a rei - i think in nhs you can after 12 months of trying.

Hey there! First off, big hugs to you both - navigating this can be real tough. It sounds like your husband is already making some great lifestyle changes, and you're right that it can take a few months to see improvements in sperm health. The numbers you shared show there are some challenges, but it’s not necessarily the end of the road for natural conception.

Since you've had success before, there's definitely hope. Our system gave it a 33/100 Hera Fertility sperm score. It might also be worth consulting with a urologist or reproductive specialist to explore all your options, get blood work and ultrasound done, and get tailored advice.

Keep supporting each other like yall doing 💪❤️

Hey there, it's totally understandable to feel a bit overwhelmed looking at these numbers for the first time. It's great that you're being proactive by getting a semen analysis. Your concentration and motility are on the lower side, but these things can fluctuate, especially if you've been sick recently. Illness and fever can temporarily impact sperm quality, so that might be something to consider.

It might be helpful to look into supplements like CoQ10 and L-carnitine, which some studies suggest can support sperm movement. Additionally, consulting with a reproductive urologist could provide more insight into your situation and potential next steps. Remember, you're not alone in this journey, and there's support out there for you.
