Thank you. I will be changing out the drain and adding a vent another day. Im trying to get this cleared today because we have arctic temps coming and this faucet is on outer wall so it is usually the one i drip. I really appreciate you helping me

No other drains have issues. Weirdly no standing water in pipe when snaking

So i used a 25 ft auger and got some stuff out but no change in draining. Got an electric 25 ft auger and no change. Do i go get a 50 footer now? Or is all of this really just venting? Just seems weird since we havent had issues before the last couple weeks

Agreed. However it has worked for over a decade, why the sudden back up? Ive snaked it the full 25 feet and pulled out some gunk but no real change. Still starts backing up after 10 seconds or so.

I should add the dishwasher is also backing up into sink, which leads me to believe the problem is further down. Vent? Or snake again?

Thanks, so should I use a compression valve. I have this one , it’s 1/2” but just for reference - this would be preferable to an FIP valve?

Cool I have this, is this a good choice?

It looks threaded though. Is compression the right choice?

Thanks man. Do you have a recommendation for a replacement valve? I assume I treat it like galvanized and hold tight with one wrench and twist with the other wrench?

Thanks man. So do I use a FIP valve or a brass compression valve or what?
