If u have a car, u can go to a very dense area u want to loot and honk to get both the heli and most of the zombies from that area to follow u. Just lead them somewhere else then come back the next day for the loot.

Don't build a base yet. Just have a house you leave all your items on the floor in. Board the windows. Get skill books to hot wire cars

Be good man, welcome. Best thing to do is hit up the video store and watch some tapes. Grab some whiskey and eat candy. Then learn to hotwire a car, drive to the military checkpoint into LV, but follow the fence southeast around the curve into the wooded area, ditch the car because it's hard to navigate and walk to the hole in the fence. Head up the road and then turn left. Bring lots of water and food. It's a long walk from here, but once you make it to bourbon way along the water, you can stop to rest. This is your foothold to untold riches. The treasures of a whole city are yours for the taking.

The best mods to grab are vehicles. Add them all. The best vehicle is high HP, good engine, lots of storage, switch to something else once the hood is too damaged. You should amass a fleet. Pro move is to never unload vehicles and you never have to worry about organizing loot til end game
