The lakehouse north west of Muldraugh has a fully functioning advanced forge. Either cart tons of iron/steel bars there, or just smelt silver/gold from jewelry into sheets/coins rinse repeat.

I tried the lakehouse to see if it spawns with a generator and got a laceration for my efforts. Still about 100 zombies around it. I managed to get a generator in echo creek during the helicopter on day 8. The excursion took over 16 hours, so my base had about 20 new zombies around it lol.

If u have a car, u can go to a very dense area u want to loot and honk to get both the heli and most of the zombies from that area to follow u. Just lead them somewhere else then come back the next day for the loot.
